About this item

"Thicker Than Water": A faded photograph leads powerful attorney Natalie Jones to the bittersweet secret of her late father's past. She takes to the sprawling countryside, where horses run free, families are bound by honor, true love really exists, and Natalie discovers her own past - and an enlightened future. "Uncross The Stars": After suffering the tragic death of his wife, Troy Harper finds himself following her last request - to build a porch for his Aunt Hilda. At Happy Valley, Hilda's Arizona retirement community, Troy meets her gruff neighbor, Bobby Walden and a bawdy, wise-cracking, adorable group of elderly women who help him discover the special, surprising meaning behind his wife's mysterious wish that he "uncross the stars." "Hidden in Silence": Przemysl, Poland, WWII. Germany emerges victorious over the Russians, and the city comes under Nazi control. The Jewish are sent to the ghettos. This is the true story of a young woman's selfless commitment and unwavering resolve in the face of war. "Fielder's Choice": Life is perfect for promising advertising executive Phillip Fielder from his high-rise views down to his Tag Heuer watch and Armani suits. No disruptions, no disorder. Out of the blue, Phillip's life is first shaken by the death of his sister Jill - and then by the news that he's been given temporary custody of Zach, his autistic eight-year-old nephew whom he barely knows. "Baker's Hawk": Because he's the son of a political leader in town, Billy Baker struggles to fit in. When he rescues an injured hawk, Billy takes it to Mr. McGraw, the town outcast who has a way with animals. As the two nurse the hawk back to health, the bond between boy, bird, and misunderstood recluse sparks newfound confidence and courage in Billy. "Following Her Heart": Ann-Margret gives a touching performance as Ingalill Lundquist, a musically-talented, newly-widowed housewife with a stifling marriage finally behind her. With nobody to impress and nothing to lose, she heads to Nashville via bus tour to take a chance on country music. "Ordinary Miracles": Rewards come to those who are blessed with an open heart - a lesson learned by a young girl who dreams of a past she never had... and by a woman who yearns to make that dream come true. "Where There's a Will": Full of wisdom and heart, unexpected humor and the unpredictable turns of life, "Where There's a Will" is a film about the value of family ties and the second chances we sometimes take for granted. "The Inheritance": From Louisa May Alcott comes this passionate story of forbidden love and dangerous rivalry in 19th century New England. "Little Girl Lost": Clara and Tim Brady have been the loving parents of Tella DeBusk since she was a one-year-old. Now, their family is being torn apart by court mandates and a children's services bureau that demands she be placed back into the custody of her natural father, a suspected child abuser.

I found this DVD package in our local Walmart store. Was rather surprised that many were true stories or "Hallmark" pictures. Most were 5 star with just a few 3-4. Wish there were more of this caliber for this price.

I enjoyed all of the movies in this pack. A couple I watched even though I had seen them before.
