Why am I being asked to cancel my Walmart DVD Rentals account and sign up with Netflix?
Walmart is discontinuing DVD Rentals. Walmart has teamed up with Netflix to offer current members of Walmart DVD Rentals the ability to sign up with Netflix at their current Walmart rate. The rate will be good for one year from the date of signup. Walmart is no longer accepting new members for DVD Rentals.

On June 17, 2005. If you do not cancel your Walmart DVD Rentals account before this date, it will automatically end.
How does it benefit me to cancel my Walmart DVD Rentals account and sign up with Netflix?
When you cancel with Walmart and sign up with Netflix, the largest, most popular online DVD rental service, you will receive the Netflix benefits at your current Walmart membership rate. Benefits include:

When you sign up with Netflix, your current Walmart membership rate and plan are good for one year from the date you sign up. So if your Walmart plan is for three DVDs out at once, at Netflix you will have three DVDs out at once at your current Walmart rate.

I canceled my Walmart DVD Rentals membership before May 19, 2005. Am I eligible for my Walmart rate at Netflix?
No. The Walmart rate is good only for members of Walmart DVD Rentals who cancel on or after May 19, 2005.
What happens on June 17, 2005, if I am a Walmart DVD Rentals member and have not signed up with Netflix?
You can continue to use Walmart DVD Rentals until 11:59 p.m. (PT), Thursday, June 16, 2005. After June 16, Walmart will discontinue its current DVD Rentals service and your membership will end. If you take no action, your Walmart DVD Rentals membership will automatically end after this date.
When you cancel your membership, or if you do not cancel your membership and it automatically cancels after June 16, 2005, Walmart will refund you the unused portion of your membership for the time that remains in your monthly billing cycle. Once your membership is canceled, we will also send you an email requesting that you return within seven days any Walmart DVDs you still have out, and also stating that your credit card will be charged $17.88 for each DVD not returned within the seven days.
I just paid for another month of Walmart DVD Rentals membership. Will I be reimbursed if I cancel it?
When you cancel with Walmart — or if you do not cancel with Walmart by June 16, 2005, and your membership automatically ends — we will refund you for the unused portion of your membership for the time that remains in your monthly billing cycle.
I am on the Walmart DVD Rentals 30-day free trial period. Can I sign up with Netflix and continue the free trial period?
You cannot continue the free trial at Netflix. But you can use your free trial at Walmart through June 16, 2005, and then sign up at Netflix for your current Walmart monthly rate and plan.
What should I do with the Walmart DVDs I have out?
From the day you cancel your Walmart DVD Rentals account, you have seven days to return any Walmart DVDs you have out. Your credit card will be charged $17.88 for each DVD not returned within seven days. If you never cancel your account, it will automatically cancel after June 16, 2005. You will then have seven days from June 17, 2005, to return your DVDs to us. Your credit card will be charged $17.88 for each DVD not returned within seven days.
I am a member of both Walmart DVD Rentals and Netflix. Am I eligible for the Walmart rate at Netflix?
No, if you are already a Netflix member, you are not eligible for the Walmart rate.
Can I receive my Walmart membership rate if I sign up with Netflix after June 16, 2005?
From June 17, 2005, to Dec. 17, 2005, you can sign up with Netflix and get your Walmart rate for one year from the date you sign up. (For example, if you sign up on July 10, 2005, your Walmart rate will be good through July 10, 2006.) Can I cancel my Walmart DVD Rentals account at one time and sign up with Netflix at another time?
Yes. For instance, you can cancel with Walmart today and sign up with Netflix tomorrow, although there is no particular benefit in taking two steps. Through June 16, 2005, you can cancel with Walmart and sign up with Netflix by going through the Walmart.com Web site when you close this pop-up. After June 17, 2005, we will send you an email with a promotional code that will allow you to sign up at Netflix at your current Walmart DVD Rentals rate. This promotional code will be valid until December 17, 2005.
I have already canceled my Walmart DVD Rentals account but have not yet signed up with Netflix. Can I still sign up with Netflix and get my Walmart rate?

If you choose to have your DVD list transferred, we will transfer the list. No other account information will be transferred. You will input your information directly when you go through the sign-up process at Netflix.

As soon as you cancel with Walmart, we will refund any unused portion of your membership monthly billing cycle. When you sign up with Netflix, you immediately start a new billing cycle with Netflix at your monthly Walmart rate.
How do I transfer My Walmart DVD list to Netflix?
It's easy. Click the check box that says, "Please transfer my DVD list to Netflix." You must click the check box before you click "Cancel Walmart Service & Sign Up With Netflix."
Why don't I see my Walmart DVD list at my Netflix account?

Yes. When you cancel your gift subscription, we will refund you for the unused subscription time. For instance, if you have a three-month gift subscription and have used your free trial period and one month, we will credit you for the remaining two months.
