Walmart.com: Help: Your Shopping Cart

The first step before checkout is to review your order on the Shopping Cart page. Here you can move items from Saved Items into your Cart or from your Cart into Saved Items. You can also remove items from your cart by clicking "Remove". When you are satisfied with your order, click "Proceed to Checkout" and you're on your way to completing your purchase.

Out of Stock During Checkout

On rare occasions, after you click Proceed to Checkout an item in your cart may actually have gone out of stock. This happens either if inventory for that item was very low when you began to shop, and a customer (or customers) ahead of you in Checkout bought the item first, or if the item was a bestseller and demand for it quickly exceeded our inventory.

If an item already in your cart becomes out of stock, you still have the option of adding it to Saved Items. Just click "Save for later" next to the item, and we'll store it in Saved Items.

Placing an Item in Your Cart

When you see an item you'd like to purchase, simply click Add to Cart next to the item. That puts the item in your shopping cart and s snapshot of your Cart appears from the top of the page. Select Edit Cart to view the items you've added to your cart, change the quantity of each item you've selected and remove items if you want. From your cart, you can either check out or continue to shop.

Your Selected Store Has Been Saved

When you browse Walmart.com, you'll see products available online and in the [city name] store. This store is also saved for the Store Finder feature and your Local Ad.
