About Balance Transfers
A balance transfer allows you to make a payment to another creditor
(a major credit card, private label or store credit card) using your
Wal-Mart Discover.
To request a balance transfer, sign in to
e-services and select the link to Request a Balance Transfer.

Fees for Balance Transfers
Unless otherwise specified, a transaction fee will be charged for each balance transfer that posts to your account. This fee will be a finance charge equal to the greater of $5.00 or 3% of the amount of the balance transfer, but not more than $50.

Finance Charges on Balance Transfers
If there is no previous balance for the billing period, your balance transfer will begin to accrue a periodic finance charge as of the first day of the next billing period. If there is a previous balance for the billing period, your balance transfer will begin to accrue a periodic finance charge from the later of the date of the transaction or the first day of the billing period in which the transaction is posted to your account.

Closing Accounts After Transferring a Balance
GE Money Bank cannot close another credit card account for you. If you wish to close the other credit card account, you need to contact the credit card issuer directly.

Canceling a Balance Transfer Request
Balance transfer requests cannot be canceled.
