Finding Products
Like your local Wal-Mart store, Walmart.com is divided into departments. Each department name appears on a blue tab at the top of your screen. To browse in a department, just click on its tab. We'll show you a list of categories and subcategories in that department. Example: If you were looking for a DVD player, you would click "Electronics, then "DVD Players." From there, you could browse and compare players to find the one that's right for you. Read about

Store-Only Products Listed on Walmart.com
For your convenience, the Walmart.com site shows products in the Grocery, Health and Beauty, Pharmacy Over-the-Counter and Pets departments that are only available in Walmart stores. You can use these product listings to:
- Research nutritional information, ingredients or product features
- Compare similar products
- Use the Find in Store feature on a product's page to see if that particular product is carried at your local Walmart store
- Plan your next shopping trip to Walmart
Because prices typically vary from region to region and store to store, prices for store-only products are not shown online. Please check your local Walmart for pricing information on these products.

Search Tips
If you have a specific product in mind, you can find it easily by entering its name or a word that describes it in the "Search for" box at the top of your screen. If you're not sure which department your item is in (for example, Electronics, Music, Movies, Books), leave "Entire Site" in the search pull-down menu. If you want to search for a product only in a certain department, such as the Books department, you can click on the desired department in the pull-down menu. Then click "Find," and we'll show you all the products that match the word(s) that you entered for that department.
Single Word Search
To get the most results, search "Entire Site" for a single word. For example, entering "desk" will return all items pertaining to "desk." Searching this way will also display non-products on the site. (For example, a search for "ship" will find product names in all departments containing "ship" and will also include Shipping & Returns information.)
Specific Search
For more specific results, search for one or more words and select a specific department from the pull-down menu. For example, typing "doll" and selecting "Toys" from the pull-down menu will find all the dolls in Toys.

Combination Search
You can search for more than one word at a time.
Hints:
Select a specific department to see products from just one area.
You don't need to capitalize or pluralize words. Entering "Phone," "phone" or "phones" will return the same results.
Use specific words if you are searching for specific items. A search for "Polaroid Spectra film" will return better results than just "film."
It is not necessary to use "and" to link related words (for example, "Sam Walton" is the same as writing "Sam and Walton").
Search for items containing an exact phrase by using quotation marks. For example, if you're looking for items with the phrase, "Rain or Shine," put it in double quotes so Search finds items with that exact phrase.
