Select a phone for every family member
Your plan is based simply on the number of lines you activate (up to five). Just select a phone for each line — or activate your own. If you need to add a line later, simply activate an additional phone. You can also transfer your current phone number to Family Mobile, but all lines on your account must share a common area code. One-time $25 Starter Kit required per line.

Use Extras Pack for downloading, directory service, international roaming and long distance calling to select countries. There is no monthly charge for using Extras Pack, it can be shared by all family members, and it never expires. Extras Pack is sold in $10 increments.

Activate your account and phones online. Then monitor and make changes or payments to your account whenever you like. Unlimited Talk, Text & Web service is billed monthly.
 
 
WebPak Customer Profiles
These profiles can help you understand your data usage, so you can decide which WebPak is right for you. The only difference (besides the 1,000MB WebPak's 20% discount) is how long each WebPak will last your family. Larger WebPaks will simply last longer until you need a refill.

Using Your Own Phone with Family Mobile
To add your own network-compatible phones to your Family Mobile account, just follow these three simple steps:
Step 1 Make sure your phone is compatible with the T-Mobile network.
Step 2 Buy a $25 Activation Kit for each phone you want to add (this is just a one-time activation charge).
Step 3 Activate your phones in-store, online or by phone.

Check Your Phone's Compatibility
For a phone to be compatible, it must be:
  1. A GSM phone (refer to table of common providers, below)
  2. Unlocked (most are locked to a specific carrier)
Your current service provider can help you answer both questions, and — if your phone is currently locked — unlock it for you.
Activate Your Phone on Family Mobile
After you order and receive your Activation Kit(s), you can add your phone(s) to your Family Mobile account by:
  1. Visiting a Walmart store, where an associate can assist you
  2. Calling the T-Mobile Activations Line at 1-877-308-9621
    (6 a.m. - 9 p.m. PT)
  3. Visiting www.myfamilymobile.com
Be sure to have these available: your Family Mobile Activation Kit, your driver's license or other government-issued ID, and your unlocked, network-compatible phone(s).
