Walmart Medicare Part D

Understanding Medicare Part D

Medicare Part D plans are offered by insurers and other private companies to help cover a wide range of brand-name and generic prescription drugs. Anyone who is eligible for Medicare can enroll in a Medicare Part D plan. This includes those 65 and older, and those under 65 with certain disabilities (i.e. end-stage renal disease or Lou Gehrig's disease).

  • Walmart is a participating provider in most Medicare Part D plans
  • Medicare Part D helps pay for prescriptions not covered by Parts A and B
  • Available to everyone with Medicare if an individual enrolls and pays a monthly premium
  • Most people pay a monthly plan premium through a qualified provider in addition to the monthly premium paid for Part B
