About the Album Top of Page

Milly Quezada (The Queen Of Merengue) was born in Santo Domingo, the daughter of two Cibao natives and sister of four musician brothers. Milly spent her pre-teen and teen years in New York, a city that is well known as a school for Merengue and Salsa singers from its Latino barrios, e.g. Spanish Harlem. During the 1980s, Quezada was the lead singer of a group named Milly y Los Vecinos. The group enjoyed wild international success, producing 20 records. In May 2005, she began a Dominican Republic tour that included a concert with the legendary Conjunto Quisqueya and in 2007, Milly recorded a song called "Reencuentro" along with fellow Dominicans Sergio Vargas and Anais. After said success, La Reina Del Merengue, Milly makes a comeback with a brand new album entitled Solo Faltas Tu, with songs such as; "Yo Te Olvido," first single "Cheque Al Portado," and "Puedo Olvidarme," among others. Thanks to the collaboration of artists Olga Tanon in the songs "Cuando Se Quiere Un Hombre" and Miguel Vasquez in the song "Si Te Olvidara", this album will be another resounding success in Milly Quezada's artistically career.

Dominican Milly Quezada (born Milagros Quezada Borbon), later known as Merengue Queen, graduated from New York's City College with a communications degree before forming her first band, Milly Con Los Vecinos, in 1975. When her sister, Jocelyn Quezada, joined, the band changed their name to Milly, Jocelyn y Los Vecinos, recording En Tus Manos in 1995. Two years later, Milly Quezada made her debut as a solo artist with Hasta Siempre, which was dedicated to the memory of her former husband and manager, Rafael Vasquez. 1998's Vive achieved a Billboard award for Best Female Tropical Album.
