Yes. it has a built in ATSC tuner, no need for a digital converter... the specs clearly state that it has an ATSC and an NTSC (old school analog) tuner built in.

Will this TV work with a regular antenna after the change in Feb 2009?

Yes, it does. So if I'm at the stove (which is on one side of the unit) or at the sink (at the other side), I can swivel from right to left or even up and down! I love this TV!!!

This screen has a swivel of 270 degrees so you can view it from just about any angle

I realize that the screen will fold up underneath when you want to get it out of the way but does the TV screen swivel at all from side to side?

I love this TV! I have it mounted under one of my kitchen cabinets. The screen is very clear and large enough to see. I was afraid that the sound quality would be poor, but it is very good. I like that the screen swivels up and away, also. I watch the morning news while I drink my coffee, and my grandson watches DVD's while I'm cooking.

OVERALL, THE PRODUCT IS EXCELLENT; HOWEVER, I DO WISH THAT THE ATENNA SUPPLIED WOULD ALLOW BETTER RECEPTION OF MORE RADIO STATIONS. I EVEN TRIED HOOKING UP AN AMPLIFIER BUT THAT DISTORTED THE CLEARITY OF THE PICTURE.

SPACE SAVING PRODUCT

I installed this unit about 2 weeks ago and absolutly love it! The installation was a little tricky so bring a dose of patience but all in all, not bad. I think its the part of drilling and positioning upside down that got me. Also, I have a lip that comes down from my cabinet which made it a little harder too. Anyway, I couldn't be happier with this space saver TV. Sound and picture = awesome! One tip - when drilling the holes, use a bit that's one size bigger than what's called for in the instructions. This way you've got a little "play" when attaching the unit with the spacers. Also, after drilling the holes, try taping the spacers to the cabinet, drop in the screws, THEN attach the unit. Works out much better that way.

Love this TV!

I am very pleased with this drop down TV. The picture and quality are excellent and the features are very user friendly. Since I've done my Kitchen remodel...this tv fits snuggly under a 15" cabinet. I would recommend an 18" cabinet if you have the space. All of my friends and family want to order one. Just one tip to remember when installling is to flip over the template so the holes you drill will match up with the tv.

A very convenient TV

This is a great fit for my medium size kitchen. Can view TV clearly while cooking and sitting at my kitchen table. Clear vivid picture and great sound.

Good Fit

Screen is not mat so room background is reflected on the screen.
Given the size of the screen ie pixels - could be better clarity.

We had a similar product with a smaller screen, same features minus the DVD player with a 7" screen also made by Audiovox that quit working correctly after a few years. We would have to tap on the side of it to get a picture and it only became worse over time until finally no amount of tapping would get you a picture after a total of 8 years. Anyway this isn't about that one. I didn't really want to get another Audiovox brand due the issues I mentioned but these under the counter T.V.'s with even mediocre reviews are hard to find. This model has the most positive reviews out of all of the ones I looked at and I think I looked at them all.
This one was a lot easier to mount as the screws go in from the top which means you just take the dishes out of the counter, lay down the included template where you want to put the T.V. and you are good to go after drilling some holes. We use this with Dish Network tuning in on CH 3 and letting the receiver do all the work so I can't comment on the channel scanning abilities. The picture is plenty big for even a medium size kitchen and can be seen from pretty much any angle. I can't imagine anyone needing more preset radio stations saved than this one is able to save as I was even entering ones I might listen to once a year. I have not tried the DVD/CD player and probably never will but I'm sure some of you will need and want that feature which is nice. The remote buttons are tiny but not unusually so and these kinds of issues only seem to bother me as I get older. The T.V. swivels to all angles and also folds up out of the way and it stays there rather nicely. The only complaint I have is the same as almost everyone else, the sound. It's o.k. but could be better and no amount of adjustment seems to make me happy. It's not a deal killer but if you can't stand bad audio it might bug you.
The way things are made today if I get 5 years out of it I will be happy. Anything after that is a bonus.

Had to have one - other one died

It has only been a week but so far so good. Picture quality is really good with only an antenna (no cable hookup).

Great picture for under-the-cabinet kitchen TV

I purchased this unit to replace an earlier version of the same TV that had quit working. I had been very satisfied with the earlier TV so I bought this same brand one to replace it - thinking all would be good. Right out of the box the TV wouldn't receive all the channels the old one did - about half. All my other TVs in the house got all the channels, but this one got less - then it started loosing channels... after 2 days I was down to a couple channels only. Thinking this was an ADD/DELETE channels issue, I spent a LOT of time with the menus and re-scanning for channels, but I was never able to get any of the lost channels back. Very disappointed with this unit. I should note that this was the third Audiovox "under the cabinet" TV I've owned - the first two worked flawlessly, but only lasted less than 2 years each - not a good track record. I stayed with this brand because I was familiar with it and there just aren't that many options out there.

Didn't work correctly right out of the box

Had to return the Audiovox TV it did not work. Call the Audiovox assist line they said it was defective.
