I do think that this game would be too challenging for a 7 year old but I would suggest Scribblenauts as a fun game for a 7 year old.

not too old at all. Some puzzles are super simple while others are super hard. My 7 year old daugther and I had a blast. she was bored at first but really got into the further the game progressed.

There is a lot of reading and some of the challenges are kind of hard.

This may be too difficult for a 7 year old but you might enjoy it and play with your nephew who could help you solve some of the simpler puzzles.

Considering buying for a very bright 7 year old nephew. He is very smart, but would the game be too old for him?

MillionHeir is similar, so I've heard, but I don't own it yet.

You should definately check out, "Hotel Dusk, Room 215." I just picked it up for the DS for Christmas and LOVE IT!!!

It is full of mystery, investigating, puzzles, etc...

I almost picked up "Professor Layton" and may still, but that 3 wolf and chicks puzzle still baffles me, on the website demo.

There are two other games I know of...Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box - which we have and is the game that got her hooked on Professor Layton & (I think I'm remembering the right title) Professor Layton and the Uncertain Future..not sure about the word 'Uncertain' but I know it's Future.

Professor Layton DS

I have enjoyed this game so much more than I thought I would. I got this game solely based on the other reviews on here, so I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. Lo and behold, I now have one of the best games I have played on the DS.

The puzzles range from 5 seconds to solve easy, to one that took me three hours to solve. I have only solved 80 of the puzzles so far, so I am sure some will be even harder than that.

The game is great in that it keeps my brain sharp, and helps with the analytical thinking as well as abstract thought. Sometimes you need to look at things differently to find the solution (like upside-down), and othertimes the answer is smacking you in the face and you don't even realize it until you solve the puzzle.

All-in-all i recommend this game to anyone who loves puzzles, but being able to read is a BIG plus (like others on here have said). I wouldn't buy this for a little kid, but a pre-teen all the way through grandparents will love this game.

A Wonderful Game

Over a hundred puzzles, mysterys to solve, and things to unlock. I thought it was worth the money and highly recommend it. I plan to buy the sequal when its out.

Good Game for Puzzle Lovers

I wasn't sure what to expect when I got this game. I thought the puzzles would be very easy with only a few hard ones but the variety is great. The game art is wonderful & you sometimes think you are watching a movie during some of the cutscenes. The puzzles are great & get you thinking & using your brain. The use of the touch screen is great, and you can use it to scribble when you are trying to solve riddles. I am happy I purchased this wonderful game, well worth the money.

Another great game for DS

I purchased this game after checking the reviews on Wal-mart site. It definitely lives up to the reviews. My only problem is that my DS touch screen in a little off and it is sometimes hard to get the game to respond correctly, but it is still worth the trouble.

Very Good Puzzle Game

I just got this for my birthday and I have barely put it down, The storyline keeps you intrested while the puzzles continue to intrigue. Definitley too hard for younger kids, great for older kids and adults! I finally 'beat' the game, but I'm still going back to solve puzzles I haven't gotten yet and new ones download all the time so this is definitely a game I can keep on playing for quite some time! Definitely take the time to explore every scene everytime you enter it, there's always something new to find!!

This game is so much fun, you can easily lose track of time playing this game. The puzzles really make you think.

don't judge a book by it's cover

This is a great game for people who enjoy brain teasers. It keeps you thinking around corners. The puzzles so far range from easy to preaty hard. (i have spent a night awake trying to work one out in my head that stumped me.)

The story is good. Your trying to solve a mystery conserning an inheratance, and a murder pops up. The are and animation are really entertaing.

Makes you think

I have wanted this game for a while now and found it online. When I got it and started the program it was alot of reading and listning but fun. Then I got to some puzzles and they are just too challenging for my taste. Im stuck on one that I worked on for 2 hours and my husband did for and hour as well.. Sad thing is its in the begginning of the game.
