What you get for under 400 dollars ,
07/07/2009
The version of this bike I bought is gold and black, very nice color combo! The bike is built solid and can take anything you throw at it. I know because I put it through 20 miles of roads, construction sites (bad hills and bumps), and a back woods trail. No problems at all. The brakes work great and the quick shifters are a hoot!

Awesome Bike ,
08/06/2009
I order my bike from walmart.com, I received the bike within the time period indicated for a store pickup. When I received the bike and unpacked in from the original packaging I found that the rear quick release arm was broken off from shipping damage and the main rod through the rear sprocket was bent. I also found one scratch on the front Suntour XCM fork. I picked up a quick release assembly a Elements sports for a couple of dollars and replaced the assembly myself rather and return the bike. I had to make a few adjustment to the Rear Derailleur. Overall the bike performs well on and off pavement.

Awesome bike on and off-road ,
10/12/2009
It's been a month since I got this bike and it has definitely exceeded my expectations. The reason being is that I wanted to start riding trails in the local state parks in my home town of Miami, Florida, and I wanted something that was durable, had full-suspension, and inexpensive. I researched many bikes and full-suspension bikes were definitely out of the question, because they were well into the 4-digits, so I would have had to buy a hard-tail, which means a bike with front suspension forks, but nothing on the back. Hard-tails at local bike shops are maybe $20 to $30 dollars more than this bike, and have components that are slightly better. The parts on this bike are pretty durable, and withstand all the elements. The weight isn't that much of a difference between this bike and a hard-tail either, which for the most part really are nice bikes but again don't have the full-suspension. If your reading this to compare full-suspension bikes from local bike shops, there is no comparison. This bike can only be compared to a hard-tail because full-suspension bikes have a better everything, but thats why they cost $1,000- $8,000. You really do get what you pay for with this bike. It looks, rides, and handles really well. I only posted this review because many mountain bike forums (MTB forums), and additional sites knocked these bikes because they were sold at Walmart. I think many speak from inexperience or just hear say, but I can say it handles great. It will need its repairs like any bike down the road, especially if you are riding trails, the bumps, rocks, roots, etc., will do some wear and tear on the bike, but I think that's to be expected given the nature of the sport. I have not had to repair anything yet because I've only had it for a month, and I ride every weekend, but like I said with time everything needs repairs. If your starting off in the sport of MTB, this is a great bike, even if your just looking for a bike that will get you around town. I hope this helps potential trail riders, or just the curious customer.
