Yes. There are two seperate coaxial jacks on the back of the antenna. One goes to the tv, and the other is an alternate video source. I believe you could plug a vcr or dvd player into it.

Having just bought & set it up, I can tell you that Yes it is.

Is this antenna (Philips Deluxe flat amplified antenna, SDV2750/27) designed for both UHF and VHF signals?

You won't find this answer anywhere on here, since on a small antenna like this, the range is very much a crapshoot. Digital TV makes this much more evident.

The best solution to finding if the product works for your needs is to buy and test it, and return it if it fails to meet your requirements.

I bought this antenna for a old magnavox tv to hook up to a converter box. I did that and it worked great, very good picture on alot of local stations. Then I decided to try it on my new 42" Vizio. Surprise!!! The picture on the hd channels were as good or better than from the satellite dish. Not being from a large metro area the amount of stations was again surprising.

This is a great indoor antenna. I have tried several different antennas, including an outdoor antenna with an amp. I took them all back believing that there had to be an antenna that would work better. There is, and this one works much better then more expensive "High Tech" antennas. I would say that if this one does not get you a good picture, ... then you are doomed to cable.

Great Antenna

We had tried two antennas with our TV's internal digital tuner and neither could get ALL of the channels in clear at the same time, in the same position. This one was the answer to our questions -- it does! The amplifier really helps take some of the "finesse" out of the antenna aiming. We live about 6-10 miles away from all of the local transmitters and all of those come in crystal clear.

Excellent antenna, good amplifier

This antenna is outstanding, if you have a digital ready TV (meaning instead of channel 3, 10, and 13 you can get channel 3.1 3.2 10.2 etc), this antenna will allow you to pick up 100% of the HD channels offered to you in your area. Check antennaweb.org to see how far and the direction of the HD transmitters in your area. I live 44-62 miles from the transmitters by my house and this amplified one works great. The biggest issue people have with HDTV antennas is that they don't place them in a window! Line of sight is key for any HD signal, make sure you have enough coax cable to place this in a window. It hides well behind curtains in the window seal. Also read the instructions, it will take about 3 mins to tune in the antenna using its amplifier.

Best HDTV antenna

After a couple of minor adjustments, all of my local channels came in perfect. They are all in HD, and I even get the audio in digital surround sound.
The only problem that I had,was that the coax cable
was a little short. I had to add a short piece of cable
which was no problem. I am about 10 miles from the
tv stations.

Got this unit to replace our current rabbit ears. We live in a low-signal area and needed something with a good amplifier. Now we can get 25 digital channels and a number more of the annalog ones (our TV has a built-in HD & Dig. Tuner). After minimal fiddling, almost all of the channels come in worry-free and they come from a variety of locations around us.

Much better than the Terk TV-5 that we ordered and much, much better than our original rabbit ears. It's not ugly either.

I live about 40 miles from the closest TV station and although I used to get 20 analog channels, I got no digital channels. So I bought this unit to replace my rabbit ears and to compliment my new digital tuner on my old analog tv. I use it indoors and it works well with digital signals and fair with analog signals. I no longer watch analog tv because it is a bother to switch back and forth. I get about 25 digital channels now and only 3 before. You have to fiddle around with it to get some channels, but most are available in one direction or another. The previous digital antenna was not as good. Meets my needs. All other TV's in the house are on Directv or cable. Price was fair.

Phillips Flat Antenna

The product may be fine for households closer to transmitting towers, but didn't work for us at all. We need to got bigger and with farther reach. So far that's very hard to find.

I was hoping to replace my old passive indoor antenna (stacked double bowtie) with a better one. The Philips amplified antenna gave me less than half the measured signal strength of my old one. Useless!! I tried every possible setting on the Philips without better result. I am an electronic engineer and not easilly fooled. I returned it next day.

Very Poor Performance

This antenna is going back to the store today. I purchased it the other day to replace my outdated "rabbit ears". I have a brand new plasma hdtv and an old analog. This antenna barely picked up any channels on either tv. I couldn't even get the basic local channels. I switched back to the old rabbit ears which picks up 40 channels on the new plasma. This product is terrible and I think purchasing it is a waste of money.
