The United Way Movement
United Way is a national network of more than 1,300 locally governed organizations that work to create lasting positive changes in communities and people’s lives. While local United Ways tackle issues based on local needs, common focus areas include helping children and youth succeed, improving access to health care, promoting self-sufficiency, and strengthening families.
About wireless recycling
Did you know that less than 2% of the 130 million cell phones retired annually in the United States are recycled? The phones stashed away in closets and drawers have real value. For some, these cell phones provide the means to communicate in a way they never have before. The materials from phones that cannot be reused can be reclaimed and reused to make other products. And best of all, proceeds from recycled phones help support United Way!
