Returns of Registry and Wish List Purchases
For Items Purchased from a Walmart Marketplace Retailer
If the seller of your item is anyone other than "Walmart.com," then that item was purchased from one of our Marketplace Retailers.
Each Marketplace Retailer has its own customer service department and you must contact the Retailer directly if there is a problem with a gift you received. These items cannot be returned to a Walmart store or to Walmart.com. Walmart.com Customer Service cannot track orders or process returns or replacements for items that were purchased from a Marketplace Retailer.
Please visit the Marketplace Retailer Information Pages for Retailer details and contact information.
For Items Purchased from Walmart.com
You have two options for returning a gift that came from Walmart.com:
Return the Gift to a Walmart Store
An associate will issue an immediate credit to the original payment method or provide a store credit for the cost of the item and the sales tax, if applicable.
Return or Replace the Gift by Mail
When you return a gift by mail, the cost of the item and the sales tax, if applicable, will be credited to the original purchaser's payment method when we receive the item. A gift you received may be replaceable by mail, if the item is damaged, defective or incorrect.
Begin the Returns or Replacement Process
You cannot exchange a gift for a different item by mail. Please visit a store to see if an exchange is possible.

See If an Item Has Already Been Purchased
You will see two columns on a person's registry; one that says "Wants" (requested) and one that says "Has" (received). This information tells you how many of a particular item the gift registrant requested and how many (if any) have been purchased.
Tip: If you print out the registry at home and wait several days to shop, you should print a new copy when you go to the store in order to have the most current information in hand before you make your selection.

Buy a Registry or Wish List Item in a Walmart Store
Once you find a Gift Registry or Wish List item you would like to purchase, follow these steps:
Please note: Not all items on Walmart.com are available in Walmart stores. If a registry item?s availability is labeled as "Online Only" or "Not Sold in Stores" then it must be purchased on Walmart.com. Items sold by Marketplace Retailers are also only available for purchase on Walmart.com.
- Print out the registry and head to your local Walmart store. The Store Finder can help you find the Walmart nearest to you.
- Find the department listed on the registry (i.e. Baby, Home, Toys, etc.). The item you are looking for will be in that department.
- If you have any trouble finding an item, please ask a store associate.
- When you are ready to check out, take the items and the registry list to the checkout counter. Tell the cashier that you have Gift Registry items in your cart and hand the cashier the registry list along with the items. The cashier will update the registry to show that these items have been purchased.

How Bar Codes Work
The bar codes, a series of black lines located at the top and bottom of each page of the registry, contain information our computer needs to identify your registry.
Please note: You will use the bar codes when adding items in the store, and your guests will use them when purchasing items for you at a store.
Guests should bring a printout of your registry to the store with them and give it to the cashier before checking out.
