Rated 5 out of 5 Great Product
We ordered this lockable black mail box from walmart online. It arrived at the store much earlier than expected and was in great condition. The installation was very easy and straigthforward and we have been using this for past 2 weeks. It gives both security and protection from rain and looks neat. I think it is a great product at a very reasonable price of $21+ compared to similar products starting from $60+ at other stores. I am happy I located this on walmart online and saw some good reviews by other users.

This mailbox was a cinch to put together, and I'm NOT a handy person by ANY stretch of the imagination. I haven't put the optional "mail" sign on yet - still wondering, is it REALLY needed? do people really not know it's a mailbox? - anyways, my only gripe with the product is that it doesn't come with any hanging hardware whatsoever, so I was delayed in getting my new one up (even though I had taken the old one down), which led to my poor mailman being confused as all getup.

I love this mailbox. It's sturdy enough to withstand the weather and has a flip top that keeps out the rain and snow. Under the fliptop is a slotted inner cover that locks so that the mail remains secure. It's large enough to hold full size magazines and regular mail, and most size manilla envelopes. It was easy to put together and install (just attach the self-adhesive sign to the front, snap in the lock and attach to the house using the templates that are on the outer box it came in). A great mailbox at a great price.

I was really upset that the tab on the left side of the mailbox snapped after having it for 2 days. It was a really nice mailbox and something I would have really like to have kept but returned because I would have had to wait for another. So I had to go elsewhere.

The mailbox looks good and it serves its purpose of keeping nosy neighbors or ne'er-do-wells from looking through your mail, but this is cheap! The mailbox needs to be assembled from the lock to the "Mail" sticker on the front. The lock is loose and not very secure. The mailbox is flimsy and if someone really wanted my mail, they could easily move the mailbox around a little and get it. The backing is not secure and there is a space between the back and side where someone could fish out my mail if they wanted. The key often gets stuck halfway in the lock and needs to be wiggled to go all the way in. Like I said, it looks nice and it serves it purpose for the most part, but if I had it to do over again I would invest more money in a higher quality locking mailbox that is secure and sturdy.

This is a very cheap black mailbox making it perfect for what we needed... a drop box for people to leave payments and messages inside a building. It looks nice, and the little plastic plaque that comes with it for the front was surprisingly attractive. The top slot piece seems a little thin though, at least for long term use and I think it would get bent up with everyday mail being shoved in the box. It is also way cheaper than most of the other boxes out there though, so I think would be great if you needed something for limited use like us, or if you were looking for a temporary solution til you could find what you were really looking for. Not an investment for the long haul, but certainly worth what I paid for it.

This mailbox is perfect for my needs. My Mom and Dad have the same mailbox. It locks and keeps kids from stealing the mail and it is easy to mount. It is large enough to hold magazines and the hole in the locking lid is large enough for the mail man to drop all my letters at once... It is perfect and you can't beat the Walmart price anywhere! I had it shipped to the store it arrived before it said it would and I was able to have my boyfriend pick it up - easy as pie! Thanks Walmart!
