There is no limit to making new things and using your head (and heart) at discovering new things to making. He has ADHD and he will sit for hours playing with these. 10/17/2007

It's a very versatile product since you can do so many different things with it. I would recommend it for children who enjoy building stuff. Rated 2 out of 5 by Very few pieces....deceiving! Well, the tub is a good size and 400 sounds like a lot, but when I opened it up and dumped the pieces from the plastic bags, they barely covered the bottom of the container!!! Very disappointing! Not worth it in my opinion. :( 12/30/2010

It is recommended for 7+, but with a little guidance about copying the pictures in the booklet that comes with, our son does quite well finding the pieces and putting it together. I enjoy playing with it along with him, too. 01/05/2011

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Fun for Kids! As one reviewer complained, doesn't seem like many pieces in tub. However, you need to know that these pieces are all different sizes. Without those different sizes there is no way to make the different items. That being said, my 9 year old loves his K'nex so much, that he begged me to buy him another one so that he can keep some of the models together and be able to make more. He hates Legos and will not even touch those. With K'nex he sits for hours and takes it everywhere he can to play with it. Now my 11 year old daughter wants her very own, since her brother will not even let her look at it or touch it. He cherishes it. I hope they make even more value packs with other designs soon! A pink set for girls would be nice!!! 04/03/2012

Rated 5 out of 5 by I don't know I gave it as as a gift, but, long ago I had bought a k'nex set in a yellow box, a gift for myself for when my grandchildren came to visit, something for them to play with. One grandson played for hours, and enjoyed it so much I eventually gave it to him. If I had thought of it, I would have bought three or four to give as gifts as the price was great. 12/06/2012

I bought this set for Christmas and she has already completed several of the projects and has asked for more sets! None of the children had ever played with K'nex, but they opened the product and went right to work! Now when they come over they go right to the K'nex kit and get started building! This is a great change from playing video games or watching movies when they come over. 12/23/2009
