The safe is a what I wanted and what was described. I wanted a safe with a mechanical combination and I love the fact it requires both the key and the combination to open given added security. The gauge of the steel and the bars used to lock are both very rugged for the size of the unit. The instruction were effective and it was very easy to install.

This product was a great quality safe at a reasonable price, and it was easy to install. The only con is the scews that are sent really should be replaced with lag bolts for a more secure mounting.
Rated 4 out of 5 by BobintheBurgh EASY, SOLID, MINIMAL SPACE
I liked the solid construction and easy install, providing no obstacles behind the wall. Use that stud finder and check for wires, I did and still ran into a few glitches. Otherwise it should be a breeze to do. Negatives were the amount of storage inside. I know, what do you expect from a stud to stud clearance and depth, but the safe mechanism inside takes up a great deal of prime space. Notice the photos only open the door partially to hide the shortfalls behind. I guess you have to have it go somewhere. And yes, the key must be in to open the safe and is used to be the door handle. A good security feature requiring both but a real pain to have the key around everytime. Too bad this isn't a fire safe.

Didn't notice it didn't have the electronic code to get into the safe. Still a good product but not what I wanted.

The safe wonderful, but go buy some 1/4" lag bolts, to install.
