Rated 4 out of 5 by AmerickaX Pretty nifty dryer...
I live in a 1000 sq ft 2bd 2ba apt without washer/dryer connections. I cannot get any connections until the tenants next door move and that ain't happening anytime soon. There are only 6 washers and dryers in the complex laundry room and 2 of the washers and 4 of the dryers are currently out of order. So thus began my search for an alternative...
I ordered this item based on reviews from another website. I had it shipped site to store and it was available for pick up 3 days later. It was double packed without any damages. It was easy to unpack and set up. I placed it on top of my rarely entered freezer. I placed about 4 articles (two t shirts, an undershirt and a pair of shorts) of freshly washed clothing in it and they were done about 20 to 25 minutes later. I dried another similar load in the same amount of time. My last load of that night was 4 pair of sweatpants. Those took about 40 to 60 minutes. The dryer is not quiet, but I eventually tune the sound out. BTW, I did purchase a indoor dryer vent kit for about $13 at Lowe's. It was easy to install.
My research revealed that items must be broken down into smaller loads. Why frustrate myself and the process by trying to force this 110 dryer to act like it is a 220? I will still use the complex laundry room for jeans and bath towels, but everything else will be laundered at home.
Rated 4 out of 5 Good compact dryer for boat
Needed a compact dryer for our houseboat. This dryer is only 19" deep which really helped with installation and hving enough room behind for the vent hose.
Multiple temp settings and variable time settings up to 2 hrs.
Has done well on sheets, towels and clothes and drying time is good
Only con (for our application) would be the adjustable footers. They could it easier for the unit to tip over if the boat rocks too much.
