I loved the former Dove hairspray in the blue can.
It had been my favorite for years. This new one
is inferior in every way. The feel is too heavy and
I don't like the scent. Would love to have the option
to buy the other. I'll have to look for something
else.

I have a hard time finding hairsprays that aren't too stiff feeling but still hold my hair style. Believe me when I say that I have tried just about everything that is out there and this is on the top of my list! I will continue to purchase this product.

There are so many problems with this hairspray. The worst thing about it is how it sticks your hair into clumps that can't be combed out. I hate it. I loved its predecessor.

I have used dove hair spray for years. Loved it. Now I hate it will never buy again. The smell made me nauseated. Everyone around me said what is that smell. They said my hairspray made it hard to breath. I had to leave my doing early to go wash my hair. My hair felt horrible with it on gummy hard heavy could not even separate a strand without pulling out my hair. It looked sticky and fake. Talk about a hair helmet. Even if it was good the smell makes me sick. Bring back the original. Why change dove were people complaining. Well they are now I will buy no dove products from now on.

I have used the Dove pump hairspray in the blue bottle for a couple years now and LOVE it. I would actually have people ask what I used on my hair that smelled so good...clean and fresh. The new stuff, style + care, is all I could find recently at the store. It has a chemical smell, is too sticky and stiff. The old adage, "if it aint broke, don't fix it" certainly applies here! Please, bring back the dove hairspray in the blue bottle.

Sooo disappointed to find out I can no longer buy the old blue bottle formula of Dove hairspray, but that disappointment pales in comparison to the realization that THIS AWFUL PRODUCT is the replacement! Loved the old formula and bought it for many years. It left my hair with a soft hold that I could comb through, and my hair was not stiff or sticky. I assumed this would be similar with new packaging....WRONG! My hair is stiff, dry, AND sticky. UGH!! I hope Dove brings back the old formula, and soon. Meanwhile, I'll be searching for a suitable alternative. YOU would have to pay ME, and pay me a lot, to get me to use this stuff.

I have used the unscented Dove for years. I am so very disappointed in Dove for discontinuing it as well as the regular spray. The new spray in the pink can is absolutely awful. The smell is sickening! Does terrible things to my allergies. It's also sticky and heavy. Please bring back the old Dove Hairspray!

I have been using the "Blue" bottle Dove for several years. I was so so excited to have an inexpensive hairspray that didn't make my hair stiff and smelled great. I was disappointed when I couldn't find it any longer, and figured the pink bottle was just new packaging. Boy was I wrong! This hairspray is AWFUL! The smell is horrendous and overpowers any type of perfume that you might have on, my hair is sticky and stiff. AWFUL!!!! I had to switch back to the expensive salon hairspray. Please, please, please bring back the Blue bottles!!!

The replacement smells awful...it's sticky...doesn't hold and is drying out my ends. PLEASE..PLEASE bring back the BLUE.

I used to love the prior "blue bottle" product. I received compliments as to how good my hair smelled. The new scent is really bad - it smelled bad to me and my thoughts were confirmed when i walked in the room where my daughter was, and she asked "what stinks?". I actually re-washed my hair.
Too bad, I have adult girls and we all loved the performance and scent of the flexible and extra hold hairspray. Now we are on the search for another brand.

I returned from overseas, where I had brought 6 bottles of the old formula in the blue bottle, so I would always have my favorite hairspray. Now that I'm back in the US, I can't find the blue bottle in any stores. Has it been discontinued? I tried this formula and it is TERRIBLE. Too stiff, can't comb through it and return my hair to "pre-style" condition, awful smell. I am actively looking for a different brand altogether as I can't seem to find the Dove blue bottle anywhere. Too bad. This was my favorite for years. I only came to this website to see where I could buy the previous formula, only to discover it is no longer available. What a shame.

I have very curly hair and have been using Dove Hairspray for many years. I recently bought this and my hair is stringy and stiff. I can even touch it as its so hard and looks gross. The old blue bottle gave me a nice natural look. I see no one like the scent but I love it! It reminds me of a perfume I used to wear. I will not buy it again due to the stiffness and frizz that I get with this spray

I have used Dove hairspray products for years and have always found it to be a reliable product. A few months ago all the Dove hairspray products disappeared from my local stores shelves. This new product recently arrived and I was excited to use it. It perfoms well and I like the fast drying aspect. One BIG problem with the product is the overpowering scent. It is so strong that it fights with the light perfumes that I occasionally wear. The scent does not seem to disapate and overall the product would do well if it werre cut back. Note: I have not yet seen an unscented version in my stores.

I really don't like your new hairsprays. I totally agree with previous reviews about the stiffness and flaking, but I'll have to say that the smell of the hairspray is repugnant. to me. That's all I can smell all day long and it totally overpowers any perfume/cologne that I might chose to use. I am seriously considering switching to another brand of hairspray. Why fix something that wasn't broken? PLEASE, PLEASE go back to the previous formulas!!!

I LOVED this spray! It was the best for holding barrel curls without feeling stiff and crunchy. The old scent was light and fresh, which was part of the reason I tried it to begin with. The new scent is TERRIBLE! Smells like a mixture of old men's cologne and baby powder. I am VERY disappointed that I will now have to find another hair spray, because the new smell is just unbearable.

I only gave this two stars because the product held my hair (curls, in the rain!) all night, which never happens. The smell however, is revolting. I had to open the window and I got a nasty headache. It smells like a combination of CK Obsession and Brut aftershave.

This hair spray it's a ZERO compering it to the old one...it makes your hair stiff,frizzy and it smells bad too.Never going back!

I've used this hairspray for a few years now, however I have noticed that the small has changed recently and I can no longer use it. The smell is so stong that it gives me headaches and bothers my allergies. I'm not happy about having to change brands, i used to love this product.

the smell was awful smelled like a old time hair salon were they used very cheap hairspray and it felt very sticky, also made my hair feel very dried out. The other can which was blue had a fantastic smell and my hair felt very flexiable just like the can said. Just like the old saying if something is not broke do not try and fix it. PLEASE bring back the pther product and fast !!!!

I would have to agree with most of the reviews that have been posted,...I am very disappointed in this new formula. I loved the old formula in the bluish-gray bottle. It had a much better scent, and wasn't as sticky. It also didn't leave the white powdery dried up hairspray in my hair like this new formula does. I hope they take people's opinions seriously, and switch back to the old formula,..."if it ain't broke, don't fix it" !!!!

New scent is horrible! I bought a new can, which was in the same color/size/strength as my last can and the smell of the new one is like cheap men's cologne. Please go back to the previous fragrance. It was pleasant and I loved it for my hair.

I've been in love with this product for several months, until I bought a new can yesterday. The new scent is revolting! The old fragrance (I bought a can just last month) was fresh, light, and lifted my spirits. This new fragrance is just awful. It smells like cheap men's cologne, and almost like pachouli! It's really really bad. Please change it back! I have also emailed customer service to get my point across.

We've used this product for years and just bought the new version. My wife is allergic to perfume and broke out with canker sores. We will have to throw it away and find a new brand. Why would you do this? We use numerous Dove products BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE PERFUME.Guess it is a new game and will have to replace all.

I've used dove hairspray in the blue can for a few years. This new stuff is just awful. I have switched to a different brand. Will not be buying any dove hair care products until the blue can returns.

I am so dissspointed with this "new formula". I loved the blue bottle and used it for years. This new one makes my hair feel like straw and when you try to brush it out it flakes onto my hair and looks like I sprinkled my head with baby powder. It also smells bad enough that my three year old son even said something to me. I wish I could find something that worked as good as the old hairspray.

I have been a long time user of the original blue bottle formula of dove hairspray. Needless to say I LOVED the old formula! This new hairspray is too sticky, it doesn't hold my style all day, and it surely is NOT flexible! Half way through my work day, my hair is feeling flat and somewhat greasy. VERY DISAPPOINTED in this new product.

About a month ago my sister in law had this same hair spray, same can and it smelled amazing! I went out and bought it yesterday and mine smelled like mens cologne or worse!! So I took it back smelled the other hairspray (flexible hold) and it too smelled like mens cologne. So I ended up buying the non arasol hair spray which smelled like the rest of the line. Dove has great products and most of them all smell the same, so why do the hairsprays smell way different and like mens cologne???

I have used Dove hairspray for many years with great satisfaction. Unfortunately over the last year almost every can I've bought has a malfunctioning aerosol sprayer. I tried all the tricks thinking it was clogged but had to return each can. Very frustrated. Have given up.
