Easy to assemble, easy to ride - nice that it has a computer that gives you your time, speed, distance and calories burned.

We purchased this bike because as busy people we are really crunched for time but knew we needed to exercise and get in better shape. Overall this seems like a good buy. We haven't had it very long but I love the fact that you incorporate your arms in that workout and that the digital screen runs through all the different counters so you can keep track of everything as you are biking. You see your time, speed, distance and calories. The only downfall I have seen so far is the seat is pretty hard and it's tough to stay on for long periods of time because of that. Otherwise so far it seems like a good buy. Hopefully it will help us to see some results soon!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Reeci I am 66 yrs old and put this together by myself. It was easy and fast to assemble. I have ostio arthiritis so it was hard to use the handles and pedals together so I concentrated on just pedaling at first. I had a product like this years ago but this is a much better value and looks better.

The bike is very well made and not too difficult to assemble. The wheel fan is extremely noisy and the TV must be turned up loud to listen while riding.
It's helpful to cover the wheel with a towel.

Rated 4 out of 5 by scorpn81 Good for light indoor exercise
The Marcy Classic Upright Fan Bike was pretty much what I expected. Sturdy, quiet, and nothing fancy. The handle bars are too close to use without jarring oneself or becoming fatigued in the arms and shoulders. The cycling action on the bike is the main reason that I purchased this item. I can ride it while watching tv and not have to raise the volume control. Can not change speeds just pedal faster or slower. The seat and bike are sturdy enough to handle a large person well, but the seat does get hard and uncomfortable if on bike too long. Bike is small enough and easy to move around to move out of the way when not in use or cleaning.

The only problem I have with this product as with any exercise bike, the seat make hard to sit on it for a extended period of time so you have to get something else to cushion it. I think overall that I made a good purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by arkcarp Very Pleased With the Marcy Classic Upright!
I couldn't afford a Schwinn Airdyne so I took a chance on the Marcy Classic and I am glad I did. The assembly was easy and it's a smooth ride. I weigh 230 lbs and it supports my heft with ease. I recommend it without hesitation.

Bought this online for price...shoulda known better. Product is miserable to sit on, handles too far from seat and one piece had to be replaced by manufacturer. And even after that hated it...so took it back to store for a refund. It pays to pay more for exercise equipment.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Butch701 not for the elderly
Parts were not all in one bag. Some parts were attached to the point of use. This made ensuring all parts were there a bit more difficult. Assembly was straightforward and only took about an hour-and-a-half. The seat is the first thing you find HARD and UNCOMFORTABLE. Just a few minutes and you're off the bike. We put a pillow on it and that helped. The nice breeze from the fan blows mostly AWAY from the rider. Would be much better to cool the rider don't you think? Lastly, I know it said increase in speed increases resistance, but I (that elderly person) can not pedal fast and at my pace there seems to be virtually no resistance at all. It would have been nice to use a safety pin to allow adjustment of seat height. It takes a moment or two to change position for a different rider.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ferreta Great Total Body Workout Bike
This bike is great to workout your entire body since the arms move. It is small enough to fit easily in a corner of a room. The fan keeps you cool while exercising. It is easy to put together in about an hour.

Rated 1 out of 5 by lookahead Fails lowest expectations
Purchased, assembled, 5 minute test ride, disassembled, returned. Uncomfortable, awkward, with little or no resistance no matter how fast it was pedaled. This was to replace a similar bike (in price and action) that I have used for many years. You won't want use this one. Anyone who likes this has never been exposed to anything remotely comfortable or efficient.

Rated 2 out of 5 by mamasu48 I took it Back
the product itself is ok, but you can't use the pedals withought using the arms. It is a very short distance though and I didn't like the comfort of the seat. To be fair, I am used to a recumbant bike though. So if you like upright bikes that don't take up a lot of room, then this one will work for you.

Rated 1 out of 5 by nickeldawn I couldn't wait for this bike to arrive! As soon as I received my email saying I was in, I was at walmart picking it up! I got it home and all set up.... and started taking it apart just as quickly!!
It is fairly easy to put together, and even easier to take apart! This bike has absolutely no resistance at all! You'd have to go 60mph for 30 minutes just to start feeling aynthing! Plus the seats hard as a rock!
I wouldn't recommend this bike to anybody!

Rated 3 out of 5 by retired63also The wire that goes to the display had been cut. Luckily I knew how to spice it back together. Other than that, the bike works fine.

there is only one adjustment for the seat - up or down, that doesn't help when you'd like to move it forward or back. it's a bit uncomfortable.
