Rated 2 out of 5 by CasualUserok It does seem to be pretty well built but the design and function don't work very well. First, the slide to open the flow. When I put this on the front of my ZTR mower and pulled open the flow, product just started pouring out. Probably 3 to 4 pounds of product before I could get on and get going. There are only two ways to combat this. 1) put a bucket of some sort under the spreader to catch the product (easy and cheap). 2) redesign the flow control to work by switch (not going to happen). Then when I started spreading, it did not appear to me that there was a very even spread going on the lawn. I used this for one back and then took it off and used my old spreader.

i haven't used it yet, but it is heavier and sturdier than expected. easy assembly. the price is excellent...less than half its nearest competitor.

Advertised as a sand spreader---
took me an entire day to put together, way to many parts, some sections should have been preassembled.
Will only spread dry sand, does not work with moist New England sand.
Rated 2 out of 5 by DaveTC poor quality, less capacity than expected
Hardware is poor quality. Product description suggests unit holds 300#. Only holds 150# of fertilizer.
