I use it primarily as a network print server, it's fast and is found by all network devices even though I'm not currently using any media features.

I bought this to replace using a desktop with connected USB drives as a server in my basement. Performance is very good and dependable, I stream movies to a media player and backup files nightly to drives off this device. No issues there. The only real complaint I have a this point is the way you have to configure drive shares; you create a user account and add it to the path of what that account has access to. But the account name is what the share bane becomes. So whatever account has to login from the network basically only sees the share with its own account name. This forces you to just give each account access to the root in most cases.

Have 2 Win 7, 1 Win 8 and an XP machine on my network and none of the machines can access the web page to log into this device. Network will not even show there is a device on the network. emailed tech support but getting no responce

I had to buy 2 before I got one that worked. I was unable to program the unit as it should be and after spending almost an hour and a half with one of the best Support persons I've ever dealt with we were unable to properly program the firmware properly. For my uses I don't believe it willl present a problem, but if I was storing personal documents I would not feel comfortable. I use it for media streaming only and so far it's ok bur won't handle as I would like due to the speed restrictions of usb 2.
