Rated 5 out of 5 by dessip The bike is a very well put together bike. Light but sturdy. It weighs less than 25#. We wanted bikes that didnt have to be shifted. Something to just enjoy an evening ride. We actually bought (2) bikes. One mens & one lades. Very nice bikes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Momship What a fun bike for a "woman of a certain age"
I just received this bike as a 60th birthday gift and I must say how comfortable and easy to ride it is. The seat is (ahem) wide enough and overall, the light weight and ease of use make this the perfect bike for my daily jaunts to the grocery store or the beach! It's color combination is quite lovely - cream and cranberry - however, I did replace that tiny basket with an oversized one.
I would recommend this bike for anyone looking for a solid, comfortable bike of excellent value. I feel like a kid again!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by misstee246 Nice for basic riding
I bought this bike so that I could have a little fun while getting some exercise. It is comfortable and cute. I am a tall woman and surprisingly my husband only had to let the seat up just a little. The true test to see what this bike can do will be when my husband & I take our bikes to the beach next month as we celebrate our anniversary. So far, I have thoroughly enjoyed this bike.

Rated 4 out of 5 by CaptainValueShopper Outstanding value for a knock around cruiser
Bought this bike and the mens counterpart as knock around cruisers to keep at the beach. They offer an exceptional value for a basic single-speed bike. At $100 bucks to the door, they're quasi disposable and you wouldn't lose sleep if one got stolen. Heck, it's $50 bucks to replace both tires ($20 each) and tubes ($5 each) at WalMart. The riding position and seat is comfortable but doesn't provide optimal pedaling position. The braking is so-so and I wouldn't want to have to make an emergency stop. The handlebars are in easy reach and the bike is relatively light with the aluminum frame. The beige and cranberry color is cool too, especially if you take off the easy-to-remove decals as suggested by another reviewer. Kent and Next are one in the same and the quality is acceptable and better than you would expect at this price point. If I can get 5 years out of this bike without having to put any money in them (besides maybe a tube), then they are well worth the money spent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Marchinon Perfect for Cruising :)
Being a 14 year old girl, I really didn't want anything too complicated and I've always liked the cruiser look. I went into Walmart expecting to spend around $150 but left only spending $100! I love the color and it's the perfect height for a 5"3 person. I needed a bike for riding around the neighborhood, going to the pool, riding around campgrounds, and riding through small towns I visit every summer. It has a very retro feel that I was looking for and everything! It makes me so excited for summer :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bonarue2 This bike takes me back to high school!
It is the kind of bike I have been looking for, the kind I rode as a teenager. No gears to change.
can sit on the seat, and remain upright. The seat is very comfortable, and I love my cute basket, can use it for a water bottle, a change purse, a sweater if needed, and a bike lock! I an 70 years young, and still like to ride every day if possible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jloeffler Great bike for the price!!
I bought this bike-mainly for the price. I had it shipped to the store. it came in a pretty big box, but it did fit into my SUV.
It came in about 5 pieces-i had the guys I work with put it together. All the pieces were there-no dings on the bike.
I had to put a little air in the tires, but other then that PERFECT. The handle bars aren't to far apart. the basket is much nicer then i was expecting.
Great bike-i would buy again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by hmeshpper Very Stable Bike!!!
This is a great bike if you have bad balance, or low back/disc pain. Very STABLE and very LIGHT weight. I love mine.
I bought the 24" version for my 5'2' mom who has not been able to balance on a bike in years and she loves it, its more comfortable than her trike she has been riding.
Good on concrete, gravel, and uneven ground!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by MysteryShopperII Nice cruiser bike
I wanted a basic bike and this is it. Regular brakes, no gears. It's one of the few in this price range with an aluminum frame so it's very lightweight. Nice for casual biking.

I purchased this bike for my mom because she has never had her own bike that she could call her own. She loves it! She rides it everyday with her water and rag in her basket and her iPod blasting lol.

Rated 5 out of 5 by intothedetails Cute as the dickens, well built, great value
I was very particular about the bicycle I wanted to replace one that I loved. Simple, no speeds, coaster brakes but compact and this is it. I shopped a few expensive "bike" shops and was willing to spend the big bucks but couldn't find what I was looking for. Cruisers were the only type of bike w/coaster brake and no speeds and I don't particularly like cruisers because they are sluggish due to the big tires. They are also on the big side. The La Jolla cruiser tires are big enough to make a comfort ride but not huge to cause drag. The bike is a very nice compact size, sharp style and good color combo, candy apple red and cream. The saddle tan seat and handlebar grips top it off as a stylish unique bike. The price... cherry on top of the cake. Can you tell that I love this bike?

Rated 3 out of 5 by LaRider Women's Kent La Jolla 26" Bike is a good one
I bought this bike for $79 for my wife and she really likes it. I is pretty and lighter in weight than most cuisers. The workmanship and finish is good. One of the tubes had a hole because the rubber rim liner was installed improperly and a spoke end rubbed a hole in the tube. It was easy to change the tube out with a better one from Target. I believe the bike will hold up well for paved road use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SouthwestMO Great bike for the price!
I am very happy with my Kent La Jolla Cruiser bike! My husband helped me assemble it when it arrived and it was not difficult to put together. Aside from making some minor adjustment here and there, I have had no problems with it since I began riding it around town. It is a great-looking bike, too, and I have received lots of compliments on it. I like that the colors are subdued, not gaudy like some of the other models I looked at. I did replace the rather small basket with a pet basket, also from Walmart.com, and my Pomeranian loves riding as much as I do (probably more since she doesn't have to pedal)! This is a great bike for a fairly flat terrain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by donslittleshopper Perfect cruising bike
I just wanted a bike to ride around the neighborhood and was tired of always having to adjust gears and brakes on other bikes plus it was a pain to change a tire. This is perfect to just tool around and not worry about anything.

Rated 5 out of 5 by lannies Great bike!
Great bike! I wanted a bike so I could ride with my 8 year old, really so I could keep an eye on her while she rode. I am so glad I bought this bike, I wanted a cruiser and looked online and also went to Target. I wanted a simple bike w/o the bells and whistles. I may go to a bike shop and have hand brakes put on, as it takes awhile to get used to using back pedal brakes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by arkansas44mom Excellent Value
The bike is great for the price. Got it yesterday, and my daughter and I went riding around the neighborhood. I adjusted the seat a few times with the quick-release to get it to my best height.
It's nice looking and has a pretty smooth ride.
Only downfalls are I tried to take the wheel off to get into the car, and it was on so tight that I almost stripped out the nut getting off the wheel. This is more to do with the assemblers at Walmart, I believe. The pedals are pretty cheap plastics, but hey, it's an aluminum-framed under $100 bike! Very lightweight.
Remember to buy some light oil for the chain and socket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by katyweb Very happy with this bike~
I purchased this bike so I could ride with my son who recently learned how to ride. The quality is what you would expect for the price, but not cheesy or flimsy. It's lightweight and easy to put on a bike rack. The seat is very comfortable and the basket comes in handy to carry keys, cell phone, water bottle.....The style is "old school" and I find it a comfortable ride. You sit upright much more than a traditional 12 speed which I find much more enjoyable. Overall I am very happy with this bike. I am looking forward to taking it on vacation to scoot around on.

This bike was easy to put together and is exactly what I wanted. I'm only 5'5" and I have the seat fully extended as well as the handlebars. The front wheel is not true so I'll have to have that fixed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Bree93 Good Bike
I was really excited about this bike! The price is really great especially for the quality of the bike. First, I would really recommend making sure that you have the right tools to put this bike together. It does come mostly pre assembled but some parts still have to be put together i.e the handle bard, fenders, and basket. There was suppost to be a small tool included in the bike parts but unfortunately I did not recieve it. (It would have made assembly a lot easier if it was included). Me and my friend put it together but did not have a wrench, which I would recommend having because it is really difficult to tighten the seat without one. The seat is extremely wobbly and I can't seem to fix it. I'm not sure if it is suppost to be the way but it is extremely uncomfortable at times. Also the fender can easily be bent so it may rub against the tire and become nosey but this is easily fixable. One major plus is the ablity of the bike to hold a fair amount of weight. I bought this bike for exercise and also for an easy way to get around my college campus and it does the job that I bought it for. I am a heavier person (around 270) and it holds my weight very well with no problems. There are a few construction issues with this bike but for the price I would absolutely recommend it. I hope you will enjoy as much as I have so far!

Rated 4 out of 5 by cattysports great bike for someone who is not a serious rider
when I got this bike I was going to take it to a bike shop to be assembled,I thought I would never be able to put it together by myself but I good friend told me they would charge me alot to do that and she convinced me to do it on my own.I must say it was so easy and did not take long at all,I love this bike it is just what I wanted.

Rated 3 out of 5 by sumbuddy2 alright I guess
Putting it together wasn't difficult. I don't know why the seat just pops off, it doesn't seem very secure to me. The thing I dislike the most is if you have to take a sharp turn my shoes actually hit the front wheel. I just position my shoes further back to create some distance. Oh, and the splash guards don't sit tight. Any slight bump to them and the tire rubs them. What do you expect for such a cheap price?

Rated 5 out of 5 by Winnigins Great Simple Lightweight Bike
I was looking for a bike that I could use to go biking with my 3 grandkids all under the age of 9. It had to be light weight for me to be able to lift into the cargo space in my Honda Fit. It had to have a comfortable seat and handle bars. This bike was exactly what I was looking for. The color is yellow and metallic red. In the photo it looked like a cream color to me. The basket is handy for carrying a water bottle, some snacks and my keys. I may add a rat-trap carrier on the back to carry more stuff for the times that we go for longer rides like to the beach. It's been over 40 years since I had a bike with just a foot brake so it took a couple minutes for hands to stop looking for the hand brakes. I'm very happy with the bike and look forward to lots of fun rides with my family.
