i purchased this & the 2 dora cartridges for my daughter for her 2nd birthday and she loves it!! the starting age limit for this item is 2 yrs, but i think children a bit older would understand exactly what to do & understand the functions more. with that being said, i hope it last a while so my daughter can use it longer, the older she gets!! the only thing i did not like is that sometimes she uses the microphone to touch the screen instead of her finger & the teal colored paint came off, leaving teal color scratches across the screen!! so when she's playing with it, i keep my eye on her making sure she just uses her fingers! =)

Rated 2 out of 5 by lindsaymy This was a huge disappointment for me and my 2 year old. She had this item on her wish list and we got it today. The screen is so dark that you cannot see anything unless you are in the light directly. I was under the impression that this was a screen and not a picture with led lights behind it. I will be taking this back and getting her something that she would rather play with and can get more use out of.

this item had me going wild to see what it could do. i was totally satisfied and so was my grandson. Fisher-Price needs no review from me, they make quality ,educational toys for years now, and always rated the best in safe, quality toys. products are A-1 in my book.

Rated 4 out of 5 by bratny2003 I bought this for my daughters second birthday and she really enjoys it. The only thing i really dislike about it is they dont have the whole screen lit up so its a little dark. They have lights that light up when you push them but would be much better if they had some kind of light for the whole screen. Other than that there doesnt seem to be any other issues.

Rated 2 out of 5 by carmenn825 i had the older version of this and my daughter LOVED it!!! we had 5 different cartriges and my daughter loved singing with it however her microphone started messing up so when this one came out i was super excited and couldn't wait to get it for her! what a HUGE dissapoinment to realize that you can not use the old cartriges with this new unit, also i wouldn't of minded if they made more cartriges however its taken a yr for them to come out with a couple different cartriges so now my daughter is stuck with a toy that she is bored with and they only have 3 cartriges to choose from and they are very expensive. Also the screen is dark and the microphone is not as good as the older version.

I bought this toy Christmas 2011 for my daugther...She loves it...When it works, it doesn't always turn on when she wants to play and it will turn on and start talking unprovoked...The toy itself is nothing like FP advertised...the screen is not digital...its a paper reel in a cartridge with dinky little lights that kinda shine through...you almost have to swallow the little mic to hear your voice....this was a total let down for me especially for the price!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!!
