this desk is nice, fairly easy to put together. nothing like the color in the picture. its more like a tan color than white.
Rated 1 out of 5 by RainaJean This desk is very disappointing. I have purchased several Sauder products and this by far is the worst one. Hard to put together, terrible instructions, had to make my own holes for some of the screws. And to top it off it is CREAM not white, going to have to paint it.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Zzzzzzzx Not a bad desk for a child.
The directions are OK. They don't separate the hardware so it's a nightmare to sort.& figure out what goes where. If it wern't for my husband, I would have brought this back to Walmart in pieces. The desk looks great. The only issue I have with it is the flimsy bottom pieces to the drawers. I could hear him cursing while putting it together. I know some of the drawer pieces were challenging to put together. Its not the best material. But for $100 -it is pretty sturdy. There are weight limits for each drawer..I would not fill them to it's max capacity.

I was looking for a student desk for my 9 yr old granddaughter and this style fit the bill perfectly! I especially like the center drawer that can be used for a drawer and then converted to hold a keyboard. The downside is that it takes a few hours to put together and it is advertised as all wood, but some parts are particle board. All put together, though, it seems very sturdy.
Rated 5 out of 5 by vsjshopper Desk is just as pictured.
I am happy with the desk as far as appearances. However, the directions could have been a little more precise. As for my experience with the Site to Store, I would definitely recommened it!
Rated 4 out of 5 by FlagGeek Good desk for the money
Bought this to replace a more standard desk that did not have a keyboard drawer. Very sturdy, everything fit and aligned properly. Instructions leave a bit to be desired and not all pieces are marked. The hardest part was figuring out which drawer slide went where. Need to improve that part of the instructions especially but with patience and logic, otherwise everything went together very well. I have bought other Sauder products and this is a solid product. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a durable desk for a low price. Color is more off white with beige streaks so it looks aged
Rated 4 out of 5 by IrishRed32 Well Made & Looks Good
The desk is well made and looks nice when finished. The instructions are OK but not great. It's more that the parts are not labeled very well. Some seem to have a hand written letter on them while others are clearly marked and then some are just mystery pieces that you have to figure out by process of elimination. I did well up until the rails for the drawers. That took a bit of extra time, pay attention to the 'short rail' notation on the list of parts.
The price on this item really seems to fluctuate. I bought it for $109.00 a week ago and now the site shows $124.00. Still better than Lowes price of $130 - something. Happy with the purchase. As far as the color is concerned I would say it ends up looking more like a distressed vanilla white. :)
Rated 1 out of 5 by shopaholic1955 #1 the "antique" finish looked like the finish was smeared or flawed, however I decided to keep THEN when I had most of the "million" pieces out of the box the piece of trim that goes across the front was broken. So then I had to try and get all "million" pieces back in the box, have my neighbor load it in my truck so I could go 50 miles to return it. I will say the store in Stephenville, Tx where I returned it was very nice to take back an online shipment. They came out and load it for me and then load the one I purchased to replace it.
Rated 5 out of 5 by MissDeals Fabulous desk!!!
We wanted a clean looking desk that would brighten up the room and we found it. We love this desk. It rather easy putting it together, but a lot of pieces & time consuming. Overall so worth it! Please note that some of the pieces had stickers indicating piece A, B, C etc. but some did not. They were marked by a pen on the side, so look for that if you do not see the sticker. It is a very sturdy, well made, and adorable desk. We couldnt be happier with this affordable purchase.
Rated 5 out of 5 by JAshley15 Great Desk for small home office
First I would like to say the other reviews on the color are right. It is more an aged white... slightly yellowed and does have streaks of a darker ivory throughout... I personally think it looks great especially if you enjoy a country look.
On assembly as long as you separate all the screws and hardware, follow the directions precisely and pay attention to the way you have the pieces faced (the instructions do show this) it took me about an hour. If there are pieces that are not labeled the look on the unfinished sides the letters are stamped in.
Rated 4 out of 5 by dewey39 I love this desk, its an off white color, got it for my daughters room, also like the idea they have more furniture to match it. and its made in the USA.
Rated 4 out of 5 by MMD1015 Good Value
Not all pieces were lettered but assembly went fairly smoothly. I assembled by myself and it took about 7 hours. Looks great!
Rated 5 out of 5 by GoldenLancer My only problem with this is the directions. They weren't very helpful at all.
Rated 4 out of 5 by MomPat really like it but...
Nice quality for the price. Great size for small space. Plenty of storage. Very pretty finish. Those are the good things. The instruction booklet - not so much. The instructions are all in pictures with minimal text. The parts are not all numbered or lettered and the hardware is very similar. Bottom line - it is easy to make a mistake. It took me quite a bit of time to get it together successfully. But once I did it looks and functions great!
Rated 4 out of 5 by larusdel Good value - take care with assembly
an ideal piece for the limited space I had available. I had some help that decided to go forward without reading directions. We had to disassemble and correct a few times. The actual directions were accurate, but need to be followed carefully.
Rated 2 out of 5 by grandmadel I have put many Sauder products together and this was the worst by far. The directions were terrible. Very few of the parts were labeled so the whole process was a guessing game. What should have been an hour project turned into 3 1/2. It's good I have a lot of patience - there is no way my husband would have put that much time into it. The desk is cute. Hope it can withstand wear and tear...but I guess you get what you pay for.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Flakey62 This is just like the photo. My husband did not read the reviews so messed up the top.. underneath
by putting the four screws in wrong So he damaged the top. But the desk is antiqued so I just have to sand it down in those places will blend in ok Great desk high recommend this.
Rated 5 out of 5 by tillyflotz Long time to put together, but well worth it.
Rated 2 out of 5 by AuntieDizzle Not what I imaged from the pictures!
The color description (antique White) was very misleading from it pictures posted. Cam screws weren't sufficient for tightening. Too much pre-assembly required for the desk to square up once assembled. Wrong screws in package, poor labeling of components. IKEA gone wrong.
Rated 2 out of 5 by Keylandsmom Hard to put together. The written instructions were in Spanish only. One of the drawers does not fit quite right. Some paint flaws on the top and drawers. Spend a little more money and maybe you will get a better product.
Rated 5 out of 5 by nalyom3 GREAT VALUE, SOLID AND A NICE ANTIQUE FINISH
EASY TO ASSEMBLE. I DRESSED IT UP WITH SOME CUSTOM HANDLES TO FURTHER MATCH THE HOME DECOR.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Carlotte60010 Overall a nice looking desk
I was a little concerned having read all the reviews about the labeling of the pieces and how hard this desk was to set up. I will admit, that it took me 3 1/2 hours for the first and 2 1/2 hours for the second (I bought two), but the pieces were labeled and if you follow the directions, it is not complicated. The rails for the drawers could certainly be better labeled.
The color is really off white, and not white, as expressed by others, but it is really pretty and is described as antique white, which it is.
It is a solid desk, but heed this warning, do not set up the desk far from where you want it. The top of the desk does not really attach to the base/side parts but for a few "locking cams" that lock into the base of the desk, but do not lock the top of the desk on to the base. Therefore, if you pick up the top of the desk, it will come off, and the base will collapse on itself. If you know to move the desk ONLY from the bottom, it will be fine. Once the top is one, it won't slide off, but it will come off if you lift it. I find this design to be a HUGE design flaw, but I would probably buy one again, even knowing this, as it is a nice looking desk for both my son and daughter and it is not flimsy once you put it together (even with the top part that can be removed).
Rated 5 out of 5 by foxylady12 nice desk
turned the keyboard drawer into a regular pencil drawer w/ 2 L brackets and put sliders on the bottom for ease of movement. Nice piece of furniture.
Rated 5 out of 5 by ShellKay Nice Piece
My husband didn't run into any difficulties putting it together. The drawers have nice glides and it's relatively easy to assemble. The finish is exactly like the picture, only difference being that it has streaks on beigh tones for the "Antique" look., which isn't obvious from the picture. I wasn't sure what to expect since Antique White can vary and some reviews said otherwise. I am very pleased with the results.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Whidper Not for a tall person. Looks like the pic
Well made . A little smaller than I had thought
Rated 4 out of 5 by Jessaug Nice Looking Desk
Looks great for the price! A little time consuming on putting together but overall, it's worth it.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lifebrand Good value for the price.
Desk was not hard to put together. It helps to have the proper tools available. Took about 1 hour. Liked that all the pieces were labeled. Looked just as the picture on website. Hopefully this desk will last for some time.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Howls very sturdy desk, but a nightmare to assemble
after finally getting it finished some 4 hrs later, we put it on towels to slide it to the other room, and it started coming apart...eek...I recommend wood gluing the entire desk....
Rated 5 out of 5 by MomOfTwoInNC Great desk for the price!
Construction of this desk was fairly time-consuming. Read the instructions and lay out all your pieces first. The finished product is sturdy, though you should take care in moving it and lift from the bottom. The antiqued finish looks great. We are very pleased with the value for the price of this desk. It looks more expensive than it actually was.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Bekita21 Very pleased!
I bought 3 of these desks for our homeschool room. My kids couldn't be happier with them.
The desks are very attractive and seem pretty sturdy. I do wish the drawers could hold a little more weight, but it should be just fine.
As far as assembly goes, I'm a 35 year old mom, with very little assembly experience - and I put all the desks together alone. The first one took the longest, of course, as I had to figure out some of the pieces that aren't labeled....but if you read the manual well, it goes just fine. By the time I put the 3rd desk together, it took me 1 hr 15 minutes. Not too bad!
I had one quality control issue - one of the desks was missing the drawer bottoms. However, I contacted Sauder on their website, which was an extremely easy process, and I received the replacement parts in just a few days. Excellent customer service.
All in all, I love the desks, my kids love the desks, and our school room looks great.
