Rated 4 out of 5 by Defect Screen execellent - Speaker not very good
This monitor is quite good. I would say it is excellent but the speakers are not that good. They sound tinny and the volume range is not good. However I purchased this monitor for the picture quality and that is outstanding. So I would purchase it again just for that. I use other external speakers. You can get cheaper monitors with a good picture. It would be a better value if priced a little lower.
If it was just he monitor without speakers, and a little lower price I would give it 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 This monitor makes me happy my old one went out!
The LED backlight and quality overall makes this an exceptional buy.
You will love these Viewsonic monitors!
This is my first Viewsonic purchase, and I can highly recommend.
I'll put it up against the Samsung at $150 more anyday as Ive seen both.
I think the Samsungs are very nice, but these Viewsonics can match 'em.
Rated 5 out of 5 by PhotoEditor613 Great picture quality
In all my monitor purchases, I've never deviated from Viewsonic's upper end range monitors as they've always been top-notched in terms of high-quality picture. This 24inch LED is no different. Great contrast when compared to LCD, and as a photo editor, my photos look the way they should. The quick refresh rate also means videos run blur free.
I did however buy this monitor because it also had integrated speakers - ok for basic sound, but if you're going to listen to music, you'll probably want to invest in remote speakers. -1 for "Meets Expectations", but all-in-all, just another Viewsonic monitor to support my faith.
Rated 5 out of 5 by JerryJW Best bang for the buck!
I gave it top rating for meets expectations as it does do that. It has some minor drawbacks and they might be a concern to other users, but I always use workarounds.
First off, I didn't expect much from the built-in speakers, so I wasn't disappointed where others may place a high value on that. The speakers are a relief from constant headphone use. If the speakers are a problem, just buy a nice external set.
Secondly, the stand isn't as stout as it should be. If your typing surface is not stable, the monitor will most likely wobble. The way around this would be to not use the base and set it up like a picture frame. The monitor does allow you to do this.
Lastly, it is not wall mountable because it is so thin and the connections are on the back, not underneath. I think wall mounting would be cool, but this is sacrificed due to how thin the monitor is.
With all that being said, this is the best monitor you can buy for the price I paid, hands down. I paid around $170, which no other 24" monitor could even come close to, let alone with built in speakers. No dead pixels and the picture is crisp and clear. Make sure the first thing you do after turning it on is to set the input to PC. It is set to AV by default and text will not be clear. Also, if you leave it set to AV, the desktop will not fit the screen properly.
I am very pleased with it and I would not hesitate to recommend this monitor to you.
