Rated 5 out of 5 by a good workout for beginner it's a good workout for beginner, means for anyone who never really involve any sorta of fitness training. The whole workout could get slow and boring sometime, but if you stick with it and make sure every move is 100% correctly, you could feel the fat burn. The best thing i like about this video is that the workout is designed in a way to make you feel that Jilian is your personal trainer and right there standing by your side to instruct you throughout the workout. To me, it's a really good workout program just perfectly suit what i need. my friend who's an advanced fitness person says it's a good routine workout program even for intermediate and advanced level. another thing i like about this workout is that i don't need too many equipments for it. A chair, 5-lb dumbbells, and a 9x9 room are all i need for completing the program. really like this video and highly recommend to beginners just like me. :) Last note, i lost 3 pounds in 8 days by following this video almost everyday. 05/06/2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by GREAT for all This is a GREAT workout for anyone that have never exercise. It helps you built a core in strength that will help you master all of her DVD's or anyone else's. She always give you a full body workout. I did not start with this first and I wish I did...would of make it much easier when I did her other DVD's. I started with a hard one it works but took awhile to master it. But if you start with this, first you are on you way to conquer all. Really good for all ages 02/25/2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by This is a good workout for a beginner. I'm not a beginner to exercise but I am 55years old and my body doesn't move like a 20 year old anymore. Typical Jillian Michaels. She's fast paced and I have a hard time keeping up with her so I watch what excercise her assistant is doing and I pause the dvd and do it my own speed. There is a few exercises that I just cannot do ( lunges for example) so I do squats instead. Another one is jumping jacks. I walk in place really fast so I can keep my heart rate up. The reason I gave her four stars instead of five is when her assistant is ready to do another exercise, he/she gets into place and Jillian hands them their weights, bands,etc. and off they go with the exercise. I don't have someone to hand me what I need to do the exercise. I think she can take a few more seconds for us to get into position. I love the way she explains the right way and the wrong way to do an exercise. She's an excellent teacher. I have been doing this dvd for three weeks now and I already can see a difference. Can't go wrong with Jillian! 04/29/2012
