Rated 5 out of 5 by More than expected out of a cheap product I bought this out of desperation, I had broken my previous laptop cooler & needed a cheap cooler to last at least an extra month. The first day I was entirely impressed, it was 10x better than the 40 dollar one I had broken earlier! The USB port that plugs into your computer has a port in it also, so you still have an extra port open! The design is genius, & lets just say I won't have to buy a new one for a very long time! This is way better than a $40 dollar cooler, so don't waste your money! 01/17/2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Cools My Super Hot Laptop......... I own a Compaq Presario CQ60-215DX with a AMD Athlon II Processor with a Nivida GPU that gets hotter than a raging volcano, no joke, My laptop hits a blistering 103C'. The CPU does not get hot even when i am playing intense games, it's the GPU that gets blistering hot.......I found out the best way to get the best cooling for my laptop is to elevate it to get more air in between the cooler and the laptop and the best way is to buy those pink erasers, you know the long square ones and put them in between the laptop and cooler at the corners and let me tell you that they really do the trick. You can buy them at Dollar General or just about any store. My temps. dropped from 103c' max to about 76c' and that is a big drop. I know that is still hot, but NVIDA GPUs ALWAYS run hot. It's a great cooler and i recommend it if you use the PINK ERASERS like i said. I'm pretty sure any brand laptop cooler will benefit using the PINK ERASERS. Give it a try and you will notice better cooling. 07/02/2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Cheap USB Connector The extra USB socket is not set into the "plug" as advertised and as shown on the box and instructions. Rather a cheap "tin" USB connector hangs off the end. It will never last. It has the appearance of trying to save the company a buck or two. For me, it killed the deal. It's going back to Walmart. 04/30/2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Works great and very quiet with very little power drain. 12/17/2010
Rated 2 out of 5 by Sadly not what I expected. I just got this thing actually and it doesn't have enough power to keep my labtop from overheating and shutting down. It runs only at 1000rpms which I could not find earlier on the specifications page. I would only recommend this for things like watching videos on youtube, long term word processing, or light duty procedures. I'm actually stuck keeping my computer at medium cpu speed. It is by no means a gaming labtop either. Only at medium cpu speed does this cooling pad keep my computer cool. DO NOT try and put it on your highest settings and run something if you have overheating issues. You will just be unpleasantly surprised. Sure it's quiet and things and has a very nice design, but that's all it has for me really. I'll have to purchase a more powerful cooling pad now. 03/08/2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by This Thing is Awesome... I really like this. I had 2 Belkin ones and they both broke on me. This one is more sturdy and the bottom of the laptop actually sits on the platform (unlike Belkin). The plug on this one isn't as bad as people say it is. I really like it. I've got 3 USB on my laptop so taking an extra one is no big deal. This thing is quiet and efficient. I'm really happy with it. 07/10/2012
