Rated 4 out of 5 by kd5150 Good movie, hated watching it on TV...
This was a great movie, my wife and I enjoyed what there was of it tremendously, however that will be the last time we ever try to watch one of these on TV. 5 or 6 minutes of movie followed by 4 or 5 minutes of commercials...all the way through the movie. We both swore that we'll never do that again. I'll even go as far as to bet they cut several minutes from the movie to make room for more commercials, it was ridiculous...
I hate that everybody seems to making these 80-something-minute movies now. This story could have easily been 100 minutes (or better) with more scenes from within the cavern and more adventure, but they chose to make yet another 80-something-minute movie. It's almost not even worth buying.
Just my humble opinion, -kd5150-

Rated 4 out of 5 Family Friendly and Fun
My kids really enjoyed this and I was grateful for the lack of skin, coarse language and violence.
Rated 5 out of 5 by SamOmiMom Great Family Movie
The movie showed good values of a family that is not perfect, but one that worked together and eventually moved closer to each other. Watching this with my children allowed me to share with them about caring for each other and how others will not always be nice to us. I will recommend this to everyone.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Shadowforeveryone A GREAT FAMILY MOVIE
What a great family movie. There was mystery, adventure and family values all rolled up into a great storyline. All of the actors were all very talented and I especially liked Kayla Carlson who played Maddie. Even if you saw the movie when it was on NBC in April ,recommend it to your friends. They will not be disappointed.

Just saw Secrets of the Mountain movie with my family and we loved it! Wished it was a series, it reminded me of the Escape to Witch Mountain series when I was a kid. We really hope you make at least 2 more sequels :). The cast was perfect!

After missing the showing on television, I decided to purchase for my own collection. It was an excellent family movie and we enjoyed it very much. Plan to watch it again and again.

This is such a GREAT movie. Every family should own this and pass it along to their teenagers that are now grown up and have kids of their own. Loved it.

The boys and I really enjoyed this movie. I wasn't sure if they'd care about it or get into it, but the action and mystery grabbed their attention. My 6 yr old sat through the whole show. This is a must have for every family! We need more of these types of movies!
Rated 3 out of 5 by PositivelyOpinionated Not Believable
This movie would be good for a young child to watch with his/her family. It has some very good family values and we enjoyed it somewhat. But from the start, when the single mom, Dana James, was late picking up her 3 kids who were staying with her while their dad went on his honeymoon with his new wife, it was not very believable. Everyone was mad at her for missed and delayed plans because she was late. (She was late because she was a lawyer and court went overtime.) The 2 older kids were twins and 16 years old, I believe. It seems to me that there could've been some way these 3 older kids could've taken care of themselves for the hour mom was late. There were other unbelievable scenes. But I do repeat, younger children would consider the movie exciting and fun because the characters, especially the younger daughter, are very likable. I do commend the makers of this film for giving families a clean movie.

MY FAMILY SAW A P&G WALMART FAMILY MOVIE SO WE DECIDED TO SEE WHAT OTHER MOVIES THEY HAVE MADE. WE ORDERED SECRETS OF THE MOUNTAIN FOR OUR FAMILY (AGES 6-60) AND WE ALL LOVED IT! GREAT STORY LINE AND SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE. THE ACTORS WERE AMAZING AND WE ESPECIALLY LOVED "MADDIE" PLAYED BY KAYLA CARLSON. SHE SAVED THE DAY AND HER ACTING WAS SUPURB. SHE IS DEFINATELY AN ACTRESS TO WATCH FOR. WE LOVED THE SCENES WITH HER AND BARRY BOSTWICK. THE SCENERY WAS BEAUTIFUL AND IT LOOKED AS IF ALL THE ACTORS HAD FUN MAKING THE FILM. THANKS FOR A GREAT FAMILY MOVIE ALL AGES CAN WATCH AND ENJOY.

JUST RECEIVED THIS DVD AND OUR FAMILY LOVED IT! MY KIDS HAVE WATCHED IT OVER AND OVER AND LOVE THE LITTLE GIRL, KAYLA CARLSON, WHO PLAYED MADDIE. SHE LOOKS SO FAMILIAR THAT I'M SURE I HAVE SEEN HER IN OTHER FILMS OR TV SHOWS. SHE WAS AMAZING AND CARRIED THE MOVIE ALONG WITH BARRY BOSTWICK. IT WAS SO GREAT SEEING BARRY BOSTWICK IN A FAMILY MOVIE - SO ENJOY HIM. PAIGE TURCO PLAYED A WONDERFUL ROLE AS THE MOTHER. THANK YOU FOR BRINGING BACK FAMILY NIGHT TO TELEVISION.
Rated 5 out of 5 by ct35 Awesome family movie!!!
I love this movie and have watched it multiple times. It's great family entertaining that doesn't have violence, cussing, etc. in it. It has a really good story line and has some action that keeps it interesting. The actors/actresses did a really good job. I'm impressed with the first Walmart family movie.
Rated 5 out of 5 by TomFoolerly Outstanding family movie! A lot like an Indiana Jones type flick.

Rated 5 out of 5 by yurbrutha Good Family Entertainment
A nice family oriented movie with a message for families and family members coping in this busy world and being pulled in many directions, especially away from quality family time. It gives us a valuable alternative to consider.
Rated 5 out of 5 by LittleGirlTwo Good Family Movie
Better than most tv movies. Exciting but touching, too. Something all the family can enjoy.

Good family movie. A little cliche.
Rated 5 out of 5 by alskdnfdldlkfl Nice family movie
No cussing, no nudity, violence on a scale 1 to 10 with 10 being terrible, so my opinion, I would rate violence in this movie as a 1.
The family in this movie goes on a treasure hunt on their mountain property and of course the bad guys are after them.
If Walmart keeps sponsoring more movies like this one, I will buy each one. Right on Walmart !!
Rated 1 out of 5 by SherryBGood Secrets of the Mountain
Nice family movie until the very end. What a horrible let down. There is still a treasure in this mountain but they are just going to ignore it.
Why wouldn't a logical person hire bull dozers, etc to escavate? That would still help the kids with college and the family can still live on the mountain.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Live4real Great family time
My kids and I enjoyed this movie alot. We could watch it over & over. It reminds me, a little , of Indiana Jones. There are alot of values and behaviors we could discuss, something different every time.
Rated 4 out of 5 by smadge A better-than-average made-for-TV movie. Actors performed well.
