Rated 5 out of 5 by great game if you were like me I own RE5 and I could have saved myself some money by waiting for the Gold Edition. The Gold Edition has everything. All my stuff I earned in RE5 was able to go right on to Gold Edition , which was great, I didn't have to play through the whole game to be able to play the 2 new chapters. Lost in Nightmares really reminded me a lot of Silent Hill Homecoming. Which was fine with me, I liked Homecoming! You get so much with Gold Edition. The regular game, 2 new chapters, the mercenaries reunion, reg. mercenaries, 2 player mode feature is great plus versus. It was worth the money. You get a lot with this game . All games should be like this. 04/10/2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Buy this game! If you, or someone you know, still is a fan of "Resident Evil 4", then you should definitely purchase this game. Once you've started to play, you're in for a cinematic gaming experience. The story-it has moved on from the small town of Raccoon City, and onto somewhere in Africa. It has taken a more international approach to a viral outbreak. The sound and voice acting - The music, along with the sound effects, does an excellent job at setting the mood for every situation during the course of the game. As for the voice acting, it is top-notch. Long gone are the days of the poor voice acting of the original cast. Although, perhaps out of tradition on CAPCOM's part, there are slight hints of melodrama. Graphics-the visuals are amazing! You'll be impressed with almost every location within the game; even the bland areas are something to behold. The textures on the characters are exquisite. Gameplay-if anyone had said there is a 'real' problem with having to be stationary and fire/attack, they're wrong! I would say they lack the intuitiveness to figure out how to handle the situation. However, there is one drawback that will not sit well with anyone who plays this - the AI partner. As with survival horror, the ultimate goal is to see it through to the end without a 'game over' mishap. Unfortunately, your AI partner often mars your struggle to survive; by either getting your killed, or killed herself. Also, the AI will often try to shoot through you to fire at the enemy. There is a solution, find a friend who'll play this game with you, and see it through together. It's actually far better this way, as it allows you to communicate with someone for a more enjoyable experience. Buy this game! 05/08/2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by A must own for any re fan This really is a great game and it shines on the ps3. The reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because I did not like the ending at all and I really could of done without the whole Africa storyline. I wish they would go back to more of the basic stuff and personally I still think resident evil 2 is better. But overall this is still a really good game and a lot of fun, the 2 player mode was a nice add on. The game has a lot to offer and will keep you coming back has it does have high replay value. Is it worth $40. +? Yes. 03/20/2011
Rated 2 out of 5 Resident Evil 4 Was Better This is a game for those who like a story line. It was more like watching a movie than playing a game. I like the action games like COD (Call of Duty). So if you are like me then I would suggest to save your money for the new call of duty coming out in August.. 06/06/2010
