I live in San Jose which at one point in history was filled with orchards! I have an orange tree, and a n Apricot tree. They both need trimming and it used to be a hassle with the old method of a ladder and trimmers! This tool cut my time in half and no ladder was needed!
Rated 5 out of 5 by drcnty Much better than expected!
The saw far outperformed my expectations. One problem though, the chain was installed backwards at the factory (cutting edge facing back) so if you buy one be sure to check this. Just a little monster of a saw!
Rated 5 out of 5 by Ilovemytools well worth the money
my dad and i have several pcs. of equimpent from auto repair tools to carpentry, lawn mowers, chain saws, weed eaters etc. this product was a very nice addition to our tool chest! you will be very surprised what you can do with this little guy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rated 4 out of 5 by 2Brich Pole Saw Very Nice But Can Wear Out
Over a 3 year period, I cut down two 40' trees, one 30' tree, and trimmed many others. My neighboors frequently borrowed it. Its easy to use. The oil bin always leaked, but no big deal. Eventually, it developed a short and won't work anymore. But, I worked it very hard. I'm going to buy a new one!

I was working 4 hours cutting down two trees app.10" diameter. This saw is amazing. Without the pole is too light and little shaking.
Rated 4 out of 5 by NSB4me Great choice!
This came preassembled. By that I mean the chain was already on the saw. Make sure to READ INSTRUCTIONS. I found out, after my husband handed me a bottle of bar oil, that it takes regular #30 motor oil. This is to lubricate the chain. It worked great, easy to use and handle. Heavy duty pole and good quality overall!
Rated 4 out of 5 by capecodcowboy got this home and up and running in a few minutes. had to cut off some large branches that had broken during a wind storm. Did exactly what I needed it to do. Easy to use, easy to adjust. great

This saw has surpassed all of my expectations. I have an over abundance of laurel oaks surrounding my yard that was killing the grass. These are large trees with large limbs. This saw went through everything put it to with amazing ease. If you don't put it in a bind, the chain stays tight through a lot of cutting which is unique in itself. I'd buy another if this one quit tomorrow because I have put it far past it's intended use. Well made, light, and easy to use.
Rated 5 out of 5 by LeFloren We love this saw!
I bought the Remington 10" 8-Amp Pole Saw for my husband as we had several trees and large old shrubs that needed to be trimmed. My husband is 75 years old and his power saw is heavy and really designed for a much younger person. He loves this saw. In fact, he has offered to help our daughter trim her trees when he is finished with our lot. Being electric is a slight handicap if you have a large bit of property, but it works just fine on our 100-foot cord. The long pole is the best feature. It is heavy enough to reach those higher branches but doesn't wobble all around as we thought might happen. I like the feature of removing the pole for limbs that are lower. All around, we love this saw.
Rated 5 out of 5 by elbeau Excellent, versatile electric chain saw.
The hex shape of the upper pole, prevents it from twisting around. Other reviewers provided the tip of not forcing the saw to do the work, just let it do its thing and it will work great. Very pleased, it's a real time saver.

I ripped open the box and was able to put it together without instruction. Which of course I read anyway afterwards. Then went out plugged it in, put in some oil and away I went. It was awesome. Easy to handle got through a lot in a short amount of time! so easy to use and not jerking around or jumping like a bigger gas one!
Rated 4 out of 5 by welfaric Just got it and it worked off the bat
I have only use this saw 1 time to cut down about 15 limbs and it did the job. I cut through limbs that were about 8 inches around a few times in the process. I had no issues with this saw.
Just remember I have only used it once so far.
Rated 4 out of 5 by dammudslinger I have had about a week and have used it a couple of times, it works great but the fiberglass extension handle came out of the shaft and I had to either return it for another or glue it myself. I have access to some very good glues!

My chain was too tight,, I had to loosen it just a little. If you can not pull the chain around the bar by hand its too tight. Be sure to put some gloves on and check yours before you use it. Just read the manual. This pole saw is great and has plenty of power. Its very easy to take the saw off the pole and put it back on, its also a very sturdy set up.
Rated 5 out of 5 by ellwoodAV Excellent for keeping up with the flora.
This is an excellent product. I've done one tree trimming and will do another tomorrow. If you've worked with manual pruning saws, you will not believe how fast this saw makes the job go!
Rated 5 out of 5 by workingoffshore A very helpful porduct
I cut large oak limbs over 6 inches round and it cut right through them with ease. The pole use is good for short reaches, but when it is extended at full length, it is hard to control, but that may be to my age (59). It suprised me how good it cut, since I too was kinda cautious about ordering it.
Rated 4 out of 5 by LoveSouthCarolina Better Than Expected
Generally impressed with the initial use of the product. Has more power than I thought it would have. One area that I feel needs to be improved is the openings in the end of the motor. The openings allow heat to vent, however trash can easily get into the motor area.
Rated 5 out of 5 by oldwarren great saw!
This is a great saw. I especially like that the saw detaches from the pole quickly. The pole doesn't flex much when it is extended and the lock make it easy. Important! Do not buy chain saw oil. The saw uses motor oil.
Rated 5 out of 5 by FloridaTurkey01 Great tool for the intended purpose.
I am very pleased with the Pole Saw after several hours of use. It is an outstanding value compared to the gas models that I considered. It works much better than I anticipated. Obviously it is designed for somewhat limited use where AC power is available. I have found only 2 very minor issues One is the lack of a positive lock on the extension pole. The friction lock works fine in most situations. However, I managed to bind the saw in a cut and found that the lock slipped when I attempted to force the saw free by pushing up on the pole. The design of the saw to allow use removed from the pole results in the protrusion at the bottom of the saw trigger guard limiting ability to angle the saw properly for a few difficult cuts. I own a chain saw and will never remove the saw from the pole. I thus would have preferred a smaller saw head. I can, of course, see the benefit of the dual purpose tool for those with a limited amount of cutting to do.

I can use the extension bar for short periords due to weight of saw. I love it this product. Will use it to trim the tree from the fence line. Easy Set up.
Rated 5 out of 5 by JoyTday Worked out well
It had all the features I was looking for in one device. The instruction manual was easy to follow. The telescoping pole had good reach and the clamp held it securely at the height I set it at. Better yet--no batteries to keep charged since it's electrical. The motor added a little weight to the top of the pole (but not bad to lift up). The blade can only be seen from the right hand side as the motor blocks the view from the left. It got the job done!

I have used the saw twice now it it exceeds all expectation. I have cut from twigs to limbs 6 inch in diameter and it is quick and accurate.
I would highly recommend this saw to anyone.
Rated 5 out of 5 by nonethaticanthink This is a wonderful tool to have, especially if you have a yard with lots of trees. Tall branches came down with ease. Good investment. I highly recommend it.

Have used this pole saw for about 3 hours and was so impressed I bought a 12 inch just like it to trim limbs after they are down on the ground. Was everything I expected and does an excellent job without mixing gas and oil and pulling to start each and e very time. Just plug itin, push trigger to start and saw.

Had to cut an oak tree back overhanging the house.
This saw did the trick. when comparing it to a local tree sevice, it has more than paid for itself. It's surprisingly lighter than expected.

WORKS BETTER THEN PLAINED, EASY TO US, WOULD BUT A SPARE CHAIN, THIS ONE NEEDS A 40 LUG DRIVE CHAIN, I WAS ABLY TO CUT LIMBS 6" AROUND AND 18" FEET FROM THE GROUND, GOING TO BUY ONE MORE FOR OTHER RESADENTS.
Rated 4 out of 5 by claproods Works great with minor exceptions
At fully extended it is a bit heavy and hard to hold..at no extension it's very managable...cuts great..the lever to lock the handle broke on first use so not sure if it was defective or bad design. replacement part was 5 bucks...with the exception of the lever lock everything else is well built and rugged..if you have branches to cut that a regular saw can't reach, i would recommend this saw...
