Rated 5 out of 5 by Classic novel about child abuse & survival~~ Classic novel about a family, child abuse, and survival~~ These are 2 books combined out of a series of 5. They are a great value and a good read! I was able to give one to a high school student who needed medical attention. That student would be in special care for 2 weeks. "Flowers in the Attic" and "Petals on the Wind" should hold his attention and keep his imagination circulating for a long time. Overall, I remember reading the first book "Flowers in the Attic" in 7th grade. I loved it because it made me sad and thoughtful. It impacted my life by staying on my mind for over 3 months. It was deeply impressive and worthy to be read. [Special Note>> The "Flowers in the Attic" motion picture/film does not accurately follow the book.] 07/01/2013
