Rated 5 out of 5 by CrabCooker Great propane burner!
This is the second Bayou Classic Banjo Cooker I have owned. The first one lasted 5 years and finally rusted out. I use mine for cooking crabs, corn, shrimp, etc. and with my turkey fryer, and I use it an average of once a week. I don't find that it burns through an unusual amount of propane, but anything that cranks out this many BTUs is going to need a lot of fuel. I think it's an efficient burner and it brings water & oil to a boil in a hurry! I don't like the new design as much as the old model, which had a more compact frame, allowing the pot to sit closer to the flame, but the Banjo Cooker is perfect for my needs.

Great range of control, very pleased.

I am impressed with the amount of heat this stove/burner puts out. Very little wait time to get stock up to temperature. Be careful, it can easily overheat and cause boil overs. I haven't timed how long a 20 pound fuel tank lasts but it seems to sip propane. ruggedly built. A little care and this stove will last a long time. Great instruction too. Actually in English, but offers other languages also. Very happy with my purchase
