Rated 5 out of 5 by mcsabre An exceptional movie for the whole family!
My bias(and full disclosure)... I like virtually anything with Robert Duvall, as does my wife. Interestingly, this movie did poorly at the box office(1983), but took two Oscars to the surprise of many. The first time I saw it (years ago), it hooked me. It's a good story, good acting, and any cursing is very limited. I would actually recommend this (as a story) for family viewing (>12yr.).
Rated 3 out of 5 by vnut Didn't care for it. Rather boring and slow. Can't see the academy award...?...
Rated 5 out of 5 by ShopAtHome1 A great movie
I love this movie and I miss part of it just about everytime that it comes on tv but now I can watch it anytime I want to.
Rated 5 out of 5 by afge must have for any robert duvall fan.
duvall owns the screen and is the show especially in these "smaller films". this is pre-"crazy heart" days. this man has a real passion for movie making and always has an interesting story to share with us.
