Rated 4 out of 5 by Great DVD for fans of this era of the WWF WWF's (that's right, WWF, not WWE back then) Saturday Night's Main Event was a weekly staple and WWF's flagship TV show for years. This 3-disc DVD set provides a great trip down memory lane for fans of WWF from this era. Great matches and moments are highlighted including Hulk Hogan, Macho Man Randy Savage, The Ultimate Warrior, Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Ricky Steamboat, as well as the awesome commentary from legends Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby Heenan, and so much more. Oh yeah, and there's some stuff from the once year modern WWE Saturday Night's Main Event from the modern WWE. But who cares, anyone buying this is buying it for the late 80s & early 90s stuff. Great purchase that is WELL worth the price. I put this DVD right up there with The Best of WWE Raw 15th Anniversary and The Rise & Fall of WCW. 07/16/2011
Rated 4 out of 5 Nice DVD but Lacking SNME DVD compilation is very enjoyable but is a surprisingly quick view. I have a full-time job and a family and made it through 90 % of set in 2-3 days. More promos and the ORIGINAL MUSIC from the show would have been awesome, but the music is redone. SNME is only famous for the 80's so imo, the 3rd DVD should have been left out and replaced with a bonus DVD of nothing but additional matches and promos from the 80's. Other than that, the selection of matches was good, and it is great for nostalgia. For the price, it's a good buy, but do not expect more than your 19 dollar's worth. 05/27/2009
