Once your child has outgrown their toddler or convertible car seat, it's time for a booster seat. Since the seatbelts in cars are designed for adult use, a booster seat, which raises your child a few inches, is necessary to allow them use the belts safely.
If your child weighs less than 40 pounds, consider a combination booster car seat, which includes a harness similar those used in regular car seats. When your child grows too tall for the harness straps, the harness can be removed and your child can use the booster seat with the car's seat belt.
There are two major types of booster seats available: high-back booster seats and backless booster seats. High-back booster seats are better if the back seats in your car have a low back, since they provide head and neck support in case of a rear collision. If your car's back seats are have a high back that's contoured, however, high-back seats may not fit against it snugly, and a backless booster seat may be a better choice.
At Walmart, you'll find Every Day Low Prices on a wide selection of booster car seats. Save money. Live better.
