Whether you're towing your boat to the lake for a fishing trip or pulling a float in a parade, there are lots of reasons you may need a trailer hitch or other towing equipment. Whatever your towing needs, Walmart has you covered.
There are two main types of trailer hitches, or tow hitches: receiver type and fixed-drawbar type. Receiver-type hitches mount to the frame of your vehicle and have a rear-facing opening that accepts removable ball mounts, cargo carriers, hitch bike racks or other hitch-mounted accessories. Fixed-drawbar hitches are usually built as one piece nad have an integrated hole for the trailer ball. Fixed-drawbar hitches usually aren't compatible with aftermarket hitch accessories.
Trailer hitches are generally classified as Class I - V, according to the load they can bear. Class I can pull up to 2,000 pounds, Class II can pull up to 3,500 pounds, Class III can pull up to 5,000 pounds, Class IV can pull up to 10,000 pounds and Class V can pull up to 17,000 pounds. While a Class I or II trailer hitch can handle light loads, you'll need a Class III or IV hitch for a boat or camper and a Class V hitch for heavier items, such as construction equipment.
In addition to trailer hitches, Walmart carries towing wiring harnesses and kits, hitch accessories, trailer lights and more, all at Every Day Low Prices. Save money. Live better.
